No. 11 Kansas State 23, Texas 0: Tyler Lockett had eight catches for 103 yards as the Wildcats blanked the visiting Longhorns to remain undefeated in Big 12 play.
Jake Waters went 19-of-30 for 224 yards for Kansas State (6-1, 4-0 Big 12), which allowed only 90 rushing yards. DeMarcus Robinson rushed for 50 yards and a touchdown and Charles Jones added 49 yards and a score.
Tyrone Swoopes went 13-of-25 for 106 yards and added a team-high 31 yards on the ground for Texas (3-5, 2-3), which was shut out for the first time since Oct. 9, 2004. Johnathan Gray had 24 rushing yards and John Harris had three catches for 42 yards for the Longhorns.
The Texas defense held Kansas State to field goals on consecutive red-zone trips to open the game and Robinson's 3-yard TD run made it 13-0 late in the second quarter. Valentino Coleman recovered a Texas fumble on a mishandled reverse, leading to Matthew McCrane's third field goal.
Gray was stopped short on fourth-and-1 on Texas' next possession at the Wildcat 14-yard line. Kansas State marched 86 yards - capped by Jones' 1-yard TD run - to set the final score with 9:31 left in the game.
GAME NOTEBOOK: It was Kansas State's first shutout of a conference opponent since Nov. 8, 2003. ... Tyler Lockett (186) passed Michael Smith (179) into third place on Kansas State's all-time career receptions list. ... Texas was outgained 367-196, was called for seven penalties and had the ball for just 20 minutes and 46 seconds.
