UCLA 41, Colorado 37 (2 OT): Brett Hundley ran in the game-winning score in double overtime as the Bruins survived on the road against the upset-minded Buffaloes.
Ka'imi Fairbairn and Will Oliver traded field goals in the first overtime to set up a second extra period, and Hundley called his own number twice on runs of 17 yards and eight yards to win it for UCLA (6-2, 3-2 Pac-12) after Colorado was held to another field goal in the second OT. Paul Perkins rushed for 180 yards and two touchdowns while Hundley added 200 yards passing and 110 yards rushing.
Sefo Liufau threw for 246 yards and two scores but was picked off twice, and Michael Adkins II chipped in 107 yards rushing and a touchdown for Colorado (2-6, 0-5), which overcame a 17-0 deficit in the first quarter. Nelson Spruce snared six passes for 63 yards and Bryce Bobo hauled in two scores.
Myles Jack capped off a nine-play, 80-yard drive with a touchdown plunge from three yards out for the only points of the third quarter, but Colorado rallied in the fourth quarter with TD passes to Bobo on back-to-back drives to make it 31-28 with 7:52 to go. The Bruins gambled on 4th-and-1 in an attempt to maintain a three-point cushion late in the final stanza, but Colorado's defense stopped Eddie Vanderdoes for no gain and Oliver tied the game at 31 with a 35-yard field goal on the ensuing drive to force overtime.
UCLA needed just one play to get on the scoreboard as Perkins raced down the sideline for a 92-yard touchdown on his first carry, and he followed with a 24-yard score in the second stanza to put the Bruins up 24-7. Colorado pulled within 24-14 on a 17-yard scoring run by Adkins inside of two minutes before the break, and the opportunity to trim the deficit even further eluded the Buffaloes as time expired with the ball on the 4-yard line of UCLA.
