No. 12 Oklahoma 38, No. 9 Texas Tech 30: Blake Bell passed for 249 yards and two touchdowns and Damien Williams ran for two scores as the host Sooners handed the Red Raiders their first loss.
Williams ran 19 times for 97 yards and added 30 receiving yards for Oklahoma (7-1, 4-1 Big 12). Jalen Saunders caught six passes for 153 yards and two touchdowns, and Lacoltan Bester added a rushing touchdown for the Sooners.
Davis Webb went 33-for-53 for 385 yards and two touchdowns but was intercepted twice for Texas Tech (7-1, 4-1). Kenny Williams ran for a score and threw for another while Eric Ward caught nine passes for 106 yards and two scores as the Red Raiders fell just short.
Texas Tech grabbed an early lead when Williams took a pitch to the left and pulled up short of the line before flipping a left-handed pass to a wide-open Ward in the back of the end zone. Oklahoma struggled on offense in the first quarter but ripped off a 97-yard scoring drive in the second to tie it, and took the lead when Bell responded to a Red Raiders' turnover by hitting Saunders with a 76-yard scoring pass on the next play for a 14-7 edge with 3:55 left in the half.
Texas Tech scored on three straight possessions in the third quarter and took a 24-21 lead with 3:08 left in the period when Webb hit Jakeem Grant with a 17-yard touchdown pass. Oklahoma bounced right back, taking the lead when Bester broke for a 35-yard touchdown and making it a 35-24 gap on Williams’ 3-yard score with 11:04 left in the game.
GAME NOTEBOOK: The game was delayed 75 minutes at the start due to storms in the area. … Oklahoma won its 32nd straight game and improved to 60-1 under coach Bob Stoops when rushing for over 200 yards. … Texas Tech blocked a 52-yard field goal attempt in the first quarter but could not get a hand on Michael Hunnicutt’s 37-yarder that sealed it with 1:17 left.
