Texas State 22, Louisiana-Monroe 18: Robert Lowe ran for 91 yards and a pair of touchdowns, including the go-ahead score with 3:29 remaining, as the visiting Bobcats rallied from a 15-point second-half deficit to stun the Warhawks.
Lowe took a delayed handoff and burst up the middle untouched for a 21-yard TD run that lifted Texas State (4-3, 2-1 Sun Belt) to its third win in four games. Tyler Jones went 14-of-20 for 141 yards and had a 40-yard scoring strike to Terrence Franks, while C.J. Best added six carries for 86 yards.
Centarius Donald racked up 86 rushing yards and a touchdown for Louisiana-Monroe (3-4, 2-2), which has dropped three straight. Pete Thomas was 22-of-36 for 236 yards and an interception, while Ajalen Holley was his preferred target with eight receptions for 89 yards.
Donald's 6-yard run with five minutes remaining in the second quarter highlighted a dominant first half for the Warhawks, who led 13-0 at the break. A safety padded the lead before Texas State responded on Lowe's 15-yard TD run with 5:49 left in the third quarter.
After Justin Manton's 28-yard field goal restored Louisiana-Monroe's two-possession lead late in the third, Texas State made it an 18-15 game with 6:50 left as Franks collected a swing pass and weaved through several defenders en route to the end zone. The Bobcats coverted the two-point conversion and forced a three-and-out with 5 1/2 minutes left to set the stage for Lowe's game-winning score.
