No. 20 Oklahoma 59, Iowa State 14: Trevor Knight ran for a career-high 146 yards and three touchdowns and passed for three more scores as the visiting Sooners rolled up 751 total yards in routing the Cyclones.
Alex Ross had a career-high 144 yards and freshman Samaje Perine added 110 and a touchdown as Oklahoma (6-2, 3-2 Big 12) rushed for 510 yards and had three 100-yard rushers in a game for the first time since Nov. 7, 1992 against Missouri. Knight finished 22-of-35 for 230 yards with two interceptions in three quarters and tossed a pair of scores to former quarterback Blake Bell. Michiah Quick caught a career-high eight passes for the Sooners, who finished with the fourth most total yards in a game in school history - and the most since a 1988 game against Kansas State.
Sam B. Richardson completed 15-of-40 passes for 239 yards and a touchdown and also rushed for another score for Iowa State (2-6, 0-5), which hasn't defeated the Sooners at home since 1960. Sam E. Richardson intercepted a pair of passes and D'Vario Montgomery caught three passes for 88 yards and a touchdown for the Cyclones.
Oklahoma rolled up a season-high 311 yards rushing in just the first half while building a 35-7 halftime advantage. The Sooners scored on three of their first four possessions on a 31-yard run by Knight and touchdown passes of 16 yards to K.J. Young and 5 yards to Bell en route to a 21-0 lead before Iowa State broke through with an 18-yard touchdown run by Sam B. Richardson.
The Sooners responded with touchdown runs of 7 yards by Perine and 8 yards by Knight and had 480 total yards and 24 first downs by intermission. Oklahoma upped the lead to 52-14 on a 44-yard field goal by Michael Hunnicutt, a 17-yard touchdown reception by Bell and a 9-yard run by Knight, and David Smith added a 8-yard scoring run in the final quarter to conclude the scoring.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Oklahoma has won 37 in a row and is now 65-1 under head coach Bob Stoops when rushing for over 200 yards in a game. ... The Sooners improved to 32-0 after a loss in regular season play since the start of the 2000 season. ... The 510 rushing yards and 751 yards of total offense were the most in a single game during the Stoops' era.
