No. 10 Florida State 48, Duke 7: EJ Manuel threw for 282 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Seminoles to a rout of the visiting Blue Devils.
Without leading rusher Chris Thompson, who was lost for the season last week with a torn ACL, Florida State still found the end zone three times on the ground and amassed 261 rushing yards. Devonta Freeman led the way with 104 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 12 carries and James Wilder, Jr. added 70 yards and a score on 13 attempts
Manuel hit Rashad Greene for a 71-yard score on the first drive of the game for the Seminoles (8-1, 5-1 ACC), who scored on five of their first six possessions en route to a 31-0 lead. Special teams had a hand in the blowout as well, with Tyler Hunter returning a punt 75 yards for a touchdown. The only negative for Florida State, seemingly, was four lost fumbles, though none had an impact on the final outcome.
Duke found the end zone on a 3-yard scamper by Jela Duncan to break the shutout with 4:25 to go in the first half but that was about the lone highlight for the Blue Devils (6-3, 3-2), who saw starting quarterback Sean Renfree leave the game with a concussion earlier in the drive. Anthony Boone finished the game under center for Duke, completing only 3 of 15 passes for 37 yards.
Kelvin Benjamin added a 35-yard touchdown reception and finished with three catches for 77 yards for Florida State, while Rodney Smith contributed three grabs for 112 yards.
