No. 8 Florida 14, Missouri 7: Mike Gillislee caught a 45-yard pass for the go-ahead touchdown early in the fourth quarter and the Gators' big-play defense made the lead stand up to beat the visiting Tigers.
Omarius Hines scored on a 36-yard run and Florida (8-1, 7-1 SEC) kept its East Division title hopes alive by picking off four passes and thwarting six consecutive second-half drives in its end of the field.
Matt Elam's 41-yard interception return set up Gillislee's touchdown with 13:32 to play and Loucheiz Purifoy blocked a potential go-ahead field goal attempt with just over 4 1/2 minutes left in the third quarter as the Gators erased a 7-0 halftime deficit.
James Franklin turned in an erratic performance for Missouri (4-5, 1-5), completing 24 of 51 passes for 236 yards and the four interceptions, including ones by Jonathan Bostic with 4:20 to play and the dagger by Josh Evans with 6 seconds left.
Gators backup kicker Brad Phillips missed a 24-yard field goal attempt wide right with 1:49 left, giving Missouri another chance, but the Tigers' saw another drive snuffed out when Evans intercepted Franklin's high toss in the end zone. Kendial Lawrence had a 1-yard scoring run in the second quarter for Missouri, which ran 27 plays in Florida territory in the second half but was unable to put up any points.
