Vanderbilt 34, Florida 17: Jerron Seymour ran for three touchdowns and quarterback Patton Robinette ran for another as the visiting Commodores took advantage of four turnovers to snap a 22-game losing streak against the Gators.
Seymour ran for 62 yards on 24 carries as Vanderbilt (5-4, 2-4 SEC) won in Gainesville for the first time since 1945. Robinette completed only six passes in 12 attempts for the Commodores, who were outgained 344-183 but found the end zone after three of Florida's giveaways.
Tyler Murphy completed 30-of-46 passes for 305 yards, but had all four Gators turnovers with three interceptions and a fumble. Kelvin Taylor had a rushing touchdown for Florida (4-5, 3-4), which has lost four straight games for the second time in three seasons and is in danger of its first losing campaign since it went 0-10-1 in 1979.
Seymour scored on a 10-yard run up the middle one play after Murphy's first interception and Robinette ran in a 5-yard touchdown four plays following Murphy's second pick to make it 17-0 early in the second. It took just three plays from scrimmage in the second half before Murphy was picked off again, with Andrew Williamson returning it to the Florida 4 to set up another touchdown run for Seymour and a 24-3 lead.
Following Taylor's touchdown, Vanderbilt compiled a 17-play drive capped by Seymour's third score to build a 31-10 margin early in the fourth. Murphy found freshman Ahmad Fulwood from 11 yards out midway through the fourth but had an intentional grounding penalty that stymied the next possession, one of 11 penalties for the Gators.
