Wisconsin 62, Indiana 14: Montee Ball rushed for 198 yards and three touchdowns as the visiting Badgers dominated from start to finish and clinched a spot in the Big Ten Conference championship game.
Ball, who notched his sixth 100-yard game of the season, now has 77 career touchdowns, one shy of Travis Prentice's NCAA record. Fellow running back James White also rushed for 161 yards and a pair of long scoring runs as the Badgers (7-3, 4-2 Big Ten) manhandled Indiana (4-6, 2-4) for the eight straight time.
Wisconsin jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter, scoring on its first two possessions, and never looked back. The Badgers amassed 605 yards of total offense, including a school-record 564 on the ground. Indiana, which had won back-to-back Big Ten games for the first time in five years, has now been outscored 204-41 in its last three losses to Wisconsin.
Fifth-year senior Curt Phillips, making his first career start for the Badgers, completed 4 of 7 passes for 41 yards and a touchdown and also rushed for 68 yards on seven carries. Phillips, who had missed the previous two years with three ACL injuries, became the third different starting quarterback for Wisconsin this season.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Ball and White have now gone over 100 yards in the same game three times this season. ... The Badgers trail Ohio State and Penn State in the Leaders Division, but the Buckeyes and Nittany Lions are ineligible for the conference title game because of NCAA sanctions. The Badgers host undefeated Ohio State next weekend before finishing the regular season at Penn State.
