Mississippi State 45, Arkansas 14: Tyler Russell threw for 274 yards and four touchdowns, and the host Bulldogs rattled off 38 unanswered points en route to snapping a three-game losing streak.
LaDarius Perkins caught two of the scoring passes, including a 24-yarder that extended the lead to 31-14, to go with 91 rushing yards for Mississippi State (8-3, 4-3 SEC). Russell broke single-season school records for completions (201), passing yards (2,523) and 200-yard passing games (7).
Tyler Wilson had 225 yards passing and two touchdowns for the Razorbacks (4-7, 2-5), who let a tight game slip away in the second half with four turnovers (two fumbles, two interceptions). They had won nine of the last 10 against the Bulldogs, but the loss ensures a losing campaign for a team that began in the preseason top 10.
Mississippi State settled for just a 17-14 halftime lead after fumbling away a late scoring opportunity. Russell completed a pass to Arceto Clark inside the Arkansas 20-yard line, but the Razorbacks' Will Hines knocked the ball loose and D'Arthur Cowan recovered to thwart the threat with 2:37 remaining.
Wilson was a stellar 14-of-15 for 137 yards in the first half, including a 30-yard touchdown pass to Cobi Hamilton and a 7-yard score to Dennis Johnson that gave Arkansas a 14-7 advantage.
