TCU 20, No. 15 Texas 13: Matthew Tucker rushed for two touchdowns in the first half and the visiting Horned Frogs held off the turnover-prone Longhorns to record the 600th victory in program history.
Quarterback Trevone Boykin ran for a game-high 85 yards as TCU (7-4, 4-4 Big 12) won its 47th straight game when accumulating more rushing yards than passing. The Horned Frogs accomplished that easily (221-83) while holding Texas to 300 total yards.
The Longhorns (8-3, 5-3), who entered the game 13th in the country at 39.6 points per game, had their four-game winning streak snapped and were eliminated from Big 12 title contention. Quarterback David Ash was intercepted twice - both times inside the TCU 10-yard line - and lost a fumble in the first half, and was replaced by Case McCoy late in the second quarter.
After TCU's Jason Verrett intercepted Ash at the 6, the Horned Frogs went 94 yards on 14 plays, with Tucker's 2-yard run giving them a 7-0 lead in the first quarter. TCU's Stansly Maponga sacked Ash, forced a fumble and recovered it at the Texas 16; three plays later, Tucker went in from the 1 to make it 14-3 with 1:40 to go until halftime.
Jeremy Hills' 8-yard touchdown run with 3:07 remaining brought Texas to within 20-13. The Longhorns got the ball back at their own 34 with 1:44 left and no timeouts before McCoy's up-for-grabs pass was intercepted by Sam Carter at the TCU 32 with 1:20 left.
