Troy 42, Texas State 28: Deon Anthony threw two touchdown passes and the host Trojans scored 21 unanswered points to snap a three-game losing streak.
Jordan Chunn rushed for a pair of scores for Troy (6-6, 4-3 Sun Belt), which had allowed 47 points per game during its losing streak. Corey Robinson passed for 133 yards and a touchdown to top 3,000 yards of total offense for the fourth consecutive season, and Bryan Holmes finished with 128 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Duke DeLancellotti rushed for two touchdowns and threw a pair of scoring passes for the Bobcats (6-6, 2-5), who end the regular season on a three-game losing streak. DeLancellotti passed for 192 yards and rushed for 72.
DeLancellotti tied the game at 14 on a 6-yard run with 9:15 remaining before halftime, but Anthony – who completed 4-of-5 passes for 164 yards – hit Eric Thomas on a 43-yard touchdown just 61 seconds later to put the Trojans ahead to stay. Chandler Worthy capped a nine-play, 89-yard drive with a 1-yard run with 4:23 left in the third quarter, and Chunn’s 1-yard plunge on the opening play of the fourth quarter made it 35-14 Troy.
DeLancellotti opened the scoring by hitting Ryan Carden on a 7-yard touchdown pass with 5:43 to go in the first quarter, but Anthony’s 58-yard touchdown pass to Holmes on a screen pass with 4:39 left in the period tied the game. Chunn scored from 1 yard out to push Troy ahead 14-7 early in the second quarter.
