Texas-San Antonio 30, Louisiana Tech 10: Eric Soza threw for 271 yards and a touchdown and ran for another score as the host Roadrunners finished the season on a five-game winning streak.
Evans Okotcha rushed for 105 yards and a touchdown for Texas-San Antonio (7-5, 6-2 Conference USA), which saw its bid to play in the conference championship game dashed when Rice outlasted Tulane 17-13.
Scotty Young finished 13-of-24 for 80 yards and an interception for Louisiana Tech (4-8, 3-5), which was limited to 193 total yards and scored its only touchdown on a 26-yard interception return by Adairius Barnes.
The pick by Barnes and another interception in the end zone kept the Bulldogs within 17-10 at the half, but Okotcha scored from 1-yard out in the third quarter and Sean Ianno kicked two of his three field goals in the fourth to allow the Roadrunners to break it open.
Texas-San Antonio's defense dominated the second half, sandwiching a pair of turnovers around four consecutive punts forced. Jarveon Williams had a 31-yard TD reception and Soza scored on a 20-yard run as the Roadrunners avenged last season's 51-27 drubbing at Louisiana Tech.
