Louisiana-Lafayette 35, Florida Atlantic 21: Sophomore Alonzo Harris rushed for a career-high three touchdowns and Terrance Broadway threw for one score and ran for another as the visiting Ragin' Cajuns will take a three-game winning streak into the postseason.
Broadway rushed for 123 yards and was 13-of-20 for 168 yards as Louisiana-Lafayette (8-4, 6-2) recorded back-to-back eight-win seasons for the first time in school history and will next play East Carolina in the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl on Dec. 22. Harris finished with 127 yards, the second time in three weeks Broadway and Harris each surpassed 100.
Sophomore William Dukes had a career-high 204 yards and two touchdowns on nine receptions for the Owls (3-9, 2-6). Quarterback Graham Wilbert was 25-of-38 for 379 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions as Florida Atlantic lost the turnover battle 3-0.
The Ragin' Cajuns erased a 14-7 deficit after one quarter with 21 straight points spanning halftime. Harris scored twice and Broadway's 15-yard touchdown pass to James Butler came with 35 seconds before intermission and gave Louisiana-Lafayette the lead for good.
After Wilbert's 42-yard touchdown pass to Dukes with 13:16 left in the game brought the Owls to within 28-21, Harris iced it 6:10 later with his final touchdown. Florida Atlantic turned it over on downs on its final two possessions.
