No. 18 Arizona State 58, Arizona 21: Taylor Kelly threw a pair of touchdown passes and the Sun Devils scored 28 points off turnovers to earn the right to host the Pac-12 championship game by routing the visiting Wildcats.
Arizona State (10-2, 8-1 Pac-12), which will face Stanford next week in the title game, won its seventh straight game. Despite playing without star running back Marion Grice (ankle), the Sun Devils rushed for 204 yards and got two rushing touchdowns apiece from D.J. Foster and De'Marieya Nelson.
Ka'Deem Carey went over 100 yards on the ground for the 15th straight game with 157 yards on 32 carries, but the Wildcats (7-5, 4-5) were never in it. B.J. Denker was 15-for-30 passing for 175 yards with three interceptions for Arizona, which lost its second straight in the series.
Arizona State raced out to a 27-0 lead getting a 38-yard touchdown pass from Kelly to Darwin Rogers and scoring runs from Foster (14 yards) and Nelson (1 yard). Arizona, which shocked Oregon last week, trimmed the deficit to 27-7 on a short run by Denker late in the first half but the Sun Devils added another field goal to take a 30-7 lead into the break.
Carey scored from 8 yards out early in the third quarter to cut the deficit to 30-14 but Damarious Randall later stepped in front of Denker pass and returned it 64 yards for a back-breaking touchdown and the Sun Devils poured it on from there. Kelly fired a 61-yard scoring pass to Jaelen Strong and Foster and Nelson added their second touchdowns in the fourth quarter.
