Navy 17, Army 10: Keenan Reynolds threw for one touchdown and ran for another as the Midshipmen pushed their winning streak to 13 games over the rival Black Knights in the 115th meeting between the storied programs in Baltimore.
Reynolds completed 6-of-8 passes for 77 yards and led the way with 100 rushing yards for Navy (7-5), which will meet San Diego State in the Poinsettia Bowl on Dec. 23. Jamir Tillman had 48 receiving yards and a TD as the Midshipmen improved to 3-0 in meetings held at M&T Bank Stadium.
Larry Dixon had 90 of Army's 198 rushing yards and wide receiver Xavier Moss had the lone touchdown on a blocked punt return for the Black Knights (4-8), whose last win in the series was a 26-17 triumph in 2001 in Philadelphia. Kelvin White and A.J. Schurr each had one completion and combined for 37 passing yards, all coming on Army's final possession.
Army punted on the game's opening possession but forced a quick three-and-out and blocked the ensuing punt that led to Moss' 7-yard TD return just over five minutes into the game. It remained that way until the Midshipmen got a big stop on fourth-and-one late in the first half and a long pass play from Reynolds to Tillman before the two hooked up again for a game-tying 9-yard TD.
Navy's Austin Grebe hit a career-long 45-yard field goal on the first drive of the second half but the Black Knights missed a long try on the ensuing possession before Reynolds capped a 15-play drive that lasted nearly eight minutes by barreling in from the 1 to make it 17-7 with 12:07 left. Army fumbled the ball away near midfield with eight minutes to go before pulling within seven points on Daniel Grochowski's career-long 52-yard field goal with 1:51 remaining, but the onside kick failed and Reynolds killed the clock.
