Tua Tagovailoa passed for 325 yards and two touchdowns, Jalen Ramsey intercepted two passes and the Miami Dolphins earned a 20-13 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday afternoon at Miami Gardens, Fla.
Tyreek Hill had another huge outing with 10 receptions for 146 yards and one touchdown for the Dolphins (7-3). Hill entered the day as the NFL leader in receiving yardage (1,076) and touchdown catches (eight).
Salvon Ahmed caught a touchdown pass and Jaelan Phillips also had an interception for Miami, the AFC East leaders who had lost two of its previous three games. Tagovailoa completed 28 of 39 passes and was intercepted once.
Aidan O'Connell completed 24 of 41 passes for 271 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions for the Raiders (5-6). Davante Adams caught seven passes for 82 yards and a touchdown for Las Vegas, which is 2-1 under interim coach Antonio Pierce.
The Dolphins outgained the Raiders 422 to 296.
Ramsey clinched the win for Miami with an interception in the end zone with 22 seconds remaining. Las Vegas was at the Dolphins' 39-yard line and O'Connell was throwing deep for Tre Tucker.
Earlier in the fourth quarter, the Raiders twice failed on fourth-down opportunities while in field-goal range.
On fourth-and-3 from the Miami 31-yard line, O'Connell threw a deep incompletion for Jakobi Myers, giving Miami the ball back with 8:26 remaining.
Over five minutes later, the Raiders went for it on fourth-and-6 from the Dolphins' 24 and Christian Wilkins was about to sack O'Connell when he desperately tried to throw the ball. It fluttered directly to Phillips, who returned it 4 yards to the Miami 38 with 3:04 left.
Dolphins running back De'Von Achane returned after a four-game absence due to a knee injury. But he was hurt again, exiting after injuring a knee just past the midway part of the first quarter.
Miami led by just one at halftime before Jason Sanders kicked field goals of 41 and 51 yards to give the Dolphins a 20-13 advantage entering the final quarter.
Tagovailoa completed 19 of 21 passes for 205 yards and two touchdowns in the first half for the Dolphins.
Daniel Carlson kicked a 34-yard field goal for the Raiders to start the scoring. Later in the first period, Tagovailoa connected with Hill for a 38-yard scoring play to put Miami ahead.
Adams hauled in a 46-yard touchdown pass from O'Connell with one second left in the quarter to give the Raiders a 10-7 lead.
Tagovailoa connected with Ahmed on an 11-yard scoring pass to give Miami a four-point lead with 2:28 remaining in the half. Carlson booted a 47-yarder with five seconds left to bring Las Vegas within one.
