Giants 20, Redskins 6: Jerrel Jernigan piled up 147 yards from scrimmage while recording both a rushing and receiving touchdown as New York closed out the season by topping visiting Washington.
Eli Manning (152 yards) went down late in the second quarter with an ankle injury, but not before throwing his career-high 27th interception for the Giants (7-9), who finished the season with seven wins in their final 10 games after dropping the first six. Curtis Painter took over in the second half and was 2-of-8 for 11 yards with an interception.
Kirk Cousins completed 19-of-49 passes for 169 yards with two interceptions as the Redskins (3-13) suffered their eighth straight loss. Alfred Morris ran for 62 yards and lost a fumble in the rainy conditions.
Washington managed just 66 total yards and one first down in the opening half but took advantage of a pair of turnovers to go into the break only down 10-6. Jernigan provided the highlight of the half with a nice catch on a 24-yard TD pass from Manning with 5:21 left in the second quarter.
Jernigan got a handoff on an end-around on the final play of the third quarter and took it 49 yards down the left side to put New York on top 17-6. Josh Brown added his second field goal of the game, a 38-yarder, late in the fourth to close it out.
