The Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers followed up sizzling starts with their first loss of the season last week, as the former struggled to get its ground game going while the latter was repeatedly run over by its opponent. The Cowboys and Packers aim to get back on track at the other's expense on Sunday when they meet at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Ezekiel Elliott was averaging 5.25 yards per carry in his previous two weeks before being limited to just 35 yards on 18 carries in Dallas' 12-10 setback in New Orleans. "You've got to take it personally, but you've also got to take what you've learned from the game and move on," the two-time NFL rushing champion said. "We're on to a new opponent, a new team this week, and it's a different obstacle, so we've just got to figure out the best way to overcome this one." Perhaps the best way is return to the ground game against Green Bay's 26th-ranked rush defense, which has allowed the opposition to average 142.3 rushing yards per game after being gouged for 176 and two touchdowns in a 34-27 loss to Philadelphia on Sept. 26. "I know we better fix it. Otherwise teams are going to -- that's going to be their blueprint to beating us. They're going to try to run the football and grind it out," Packers coach Matt LaFleur said.

ABOUT THE PACKERS (3-1): Aaron Rodgers exploited a banged-up Eagles secondary by throwing for 422 yards and a pair of touchdowns, but his most trusted target is trending toward being a spectator on Sunday. Davante Adams was injured with what he revealed to be turf toe in the fourth quarter, putting an abrupt end to what looked like an unstoppable performance in which he reeled in 10 receptions for a career-high 180 yards. The two-time Pro Bowl selection leads Green Bay with 378 receiving yards, which is 161 more than the next closest receiver (Marquez Valdes-Scantling). Fellow wideout Geronimo Allison, who is tied with tight end Jimmy Graham with a team co-leading two touchdown catches, is expected to see more snaps should Adams sit out.

ABOUT THE COWBOYS (3-1): Dak Prescott put up gaudy numbers in victories over subpar competition over the first three weeks of the season before being limited to just 223 yards against the Saints last week. "There's no confidence lost with this loss, I can promise you that," the 26-year-old said. "There's a lot of things we'll take from this that we'll learn from and become a better team because of it. That's the most important thing." The most important thing for Prescott is the offensive line, which likely will have a different look as Cameron Fleming is expected to start at left tackle in place of Tyron Smith (ankle) while right tackle La'el Collins (back) has yet to practice this week. Wideout Michael Gallup practiced for the first time in three weeks on Wednesday and looks to resume his fast start after catching 13 passes for 226 yards in his first two games.
