The line moving from +3.5 to +5.5 is just too much for me, so I'll bite on Detroit in what should be a shootout on Thursday Night Football. Dan Campbell knows how to get his guys ready for primetime, too - he's 13-3 SU and 3-0 on TNF in his career. If the Houston Texans can drop 31 points on this Bills defense, what will the Lions do? Let's bank on this high-octane offense to keep it close.

Dalton Kincaid stole the receiving headlines in Week 1, but the new guy had a team-high eight targets and hauled in five for 100 yards and a score. He also led all Buffalo pass-catchers in target share (28.6%) and air-yard share (44%). Buffalo only ran the ball on 35% of its plays in Week 1, and things might be a little more pass-heavy with a healthy Kincaid and Moore on the scene now. This game projects to have the most plays in Week 2, and for DJ Moore to have 7.9 targets. This prop is on the move.

After being held out of the end zone in Week 1, I’m anticipating Barkley scoring against the Titans. Tennessee finished 28th in run defense DVOA and 24th in PFF run defense grade while allowing 142 rushing yards to backs in the season opener, and now they face an elite offensive line that ranked 10th in run block win rate last week. Of course, Barkley also handled 33.8% of the touches and 48.3% of the carries inside the red zone last year.

Smith posted a monster 16.4 aDoT in the season opener and has a cushy matchup this week, so I would play this prop to 56%. The Titans allowed the third-highest yards per reception (13.5) with the fourth-highest catch percentage (84.6%) to wideouts while allowing the sixth-highest EPA per dropback and ranking 28th in pass defense DVOA in Week 1, after all.

This is one of the best +EV TDs on the board, per THE BLITZ, which has this fair price at 4.8x, or a 20.8% probability of scoring. Pat Freiermuth saw a bigger route share in Week 1 than his 72% mark last season and saw six targets for a 5-46-1 line while cashing a 4.75x TD. The 6.5x price is just wrong. The tight end had the only WR/TE red-zone targets in Week 1, with two, and scored on one of them. His RZ role is looking good, especially with the ground game looking subpar.

Pittsburgh is shipping out to Boston to battle the Patriots, who have had extra time to stew over their dud at Seattle on opening night. New England’s offense looked bad and it’s running thin on weapons, with WR1 A.J. Brown out and RB TreVeyon Henderson questionable. The Patriots averaged 4.1 yards per play in Week 1 and now face a retooled Steelers defense that tops all those sexy advanced metrics. Yes, Pittsburgh did beat up on Atlanta and a third-stringer last Sunday but those analytics that account for all that still love the Steelers, who are tops in defensive DVOA and No. 2 in EPA allowed per play. Laying almost six points seems like a steel climb for a Pats offense this Sunday.

After running 10 times for 65 yards and two scores last week, Caleb Williams' TD price hasn't seen a big correction after closing at 20% in Week 1. Williams should not be this long for a TD after a 59-point game and as the seventh-most probable Bear to score. Even in the two meetings last season against the Vikings, the Chicago quarterback ran 10 times for 84 yards and a score. The Vikings' all-out blitz defense only helps create big-gain rushing opportunities for opposing QBs, while the Packers also put up 419 yards of offense against Minnesota, which was a bottom-five mark last week. Williams likely won't take off 10 times again, but if this offense stays aggressive, his TD price could drop. That's a price I'm willing to pay this week at 25% or better.

While Wentz was serviceable, I see more than two points separating him and Murry in terms of value to the spread. That’s especially true if the Bears can break away on the scoreboard and force Wentz to carry the load. Minnesota’s defense is dangerous but gave up a ton of yards to the Packers. If we take the Cheeseheads’ fourth-quarter collapse out of the equation, the Vikes stop unit was 21st in EPA allowed per play in the first three quarters. Murray’s chances of clearing concussion protocols seems slim when you look at his reaction to the hit. Once he’s officially ruled out, this spread jumps to Bears -6 or higher. Give me Chicago below the key number now.

The Falcons are a no-go with their QB play, and Chuba Hubbard is the man in this Carolina offense, which won't go up and down the field like they did against Chicago every week. Hubbard is a great play here at 55.6% or lower, or 1.8x. The RB1 took almost 80% of the RB snaps before the final drive, and Jonathan Brooks, coming back from multiple lengthy injuries, received just 12 offensive snaps. It was also Hubbard who got all four of the RB red-zone opportunities, which he turned into two scores at 2.2x. I thought about chasing the Jalen Coker TD, but Hubbard is a needed safe floor when you have a lengthy TD card. Carolina is going to dominate the TOP and run the ball all day.

This is still a +EV TD with a fair price of 3.5x (28.6%), and it's easy to see why. Braelon Allen saw double-digit carries last week against the Titans and played the majority of the snaps on third and fourth down with two or fewer yards to go. It was Breece Hall getting the red-zone carries, but there weren't any short TD opportunities, and Allen handled the majority of the third-down work. The Packers gave up TDs to both Minnesota backs last week and were one of the worst teams in the red zone, allowing a touchdown on all four Minnesota opportunities inside the 20. Their turnovers and penalties can only help New York keep a neutral game script.

The New York Jets averaged just 17.6 ppg last year and while Geno Smith is an upgrade at quarterback, I'm unconvinced that he's going to improve the situation all that much at age 35. Meanwhile, the Jets defense will get pressure on a one-dimensional Green Bay Packers offense that totaled just 66 yards on the ground against the Vikings. I'm backing the Under down to 42.5 points.

I got this at 10.5% (9.5x) and would play this to 7x (14.2%). Durham Smythe might have even more opportunities than last week with the injuries to the Baltimore pass-catchers. Smythe played 62% of the snaps in Week 1, had one RZ target, and might see his routes increase with Ja'Kobi Lane out and Zay Flowers banged up. The Ravens ran heavy sets at a 53% rate last week against the Colts, and with so much uncertainty around the WR rotation, especially with the possibility of Devontez Walker coming back, I'll take a half-unit long shot on a guy playing a decent amount of snaps in an offense that's humming out of the gates.

The Saints showed tremendous fight against the Lions. New Orleans was down 21-0 in the third quarter before scoring 24 second half points and pushing Detroit to the brink in overtime.  That had the Saints covering as 6.5-point road dogs. Much like Washington, NOLA found its footing in the final 30 minutes and rated Top 10 in EPA among 2H offenses in Week 1. The Saints were also Top 10 in third down success and red-zone scoring (4 for 5). This spread was New Orleans +7.5 in the summer and has jumped to +8.5 (and as high as +9 at some shops), despite those ailments to the Ravens receiving corps. Baltimore wins but not by this many.

This might be the best price we get for Chase Brown all season. He should not be 50% or lower in any game, and this price is giving the Texans too much credit after a similar top-tier offense just put up 36 points and 409 total yards in Houston last week. Chase Brown got six of the seven running back red-zone opportunities last week, including all three carries inside the five, where he cashed a -125 touchdown. He's scored seven TDs over his last four games dating back to last season, and I have him at a base probability of 55.6% against an average defense.

The Bengals got four takeaways and still had to sweat out the Bucs in Week 1. Houston's defense bounces back and that offense is improved and always strong at home. The Texans were 9 for 18 on 3rd/4th down conversions and went 4/5 for TDs in the red zone. Cincy finished 2/5 in RZ and needed a defensive score and four FGM (two 50+ yarders) to get to 33 points, despite those extra possesions.

Sometimes people in the dumps need some support, and that's where I am with Deshaun Watson this week at a 7x TD price that should not be more than 5x. He had a very difficult Week 1 matchup against that Jaguars defense. Things should be a little easier against the Buccaneers, who allowed 5.6 yards per play and five red-zone opportunities to the Bengals. Watson ran six times last week for 38 yards, including twice in the red zone, and was one of only eight QBs who had multiple RZ rushes in Week 1. He's locked into the No. 1 role and will want to silence the Cleveland fans in Week 3 in the home opener with at least something positive this week. Just think of the bragging rights you'll get if you cash a 7x Watson TD when the world is rooting against him.

At a -8.5-point disadvantage, the Browns are big underdogs in this game, implying much more of a focus on throwing than their typical game plan.. Since the start of last season, the anemic Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense has allowed the 6th-most yards-after-the-catch in football to opposing offenses: a whopping 0.38 YAC.

The Broncos have run the 8th-most plays in football since the start of last season, totaling a staggering 58.7 plays per game.. The Jacksonville Jaguars defense has been a prominent pass funnel last year, leading opposing quarterbacks to attempt the most passes in the NFL (37.5 per game) last year.. I got this at 3.7x and would play to 3.2x. The Raiders should be playing in a negative game script on Sunday, and Michael Mayer could be the most-targeted Raider in an indoor game against a Chargers team that is in a must-win spot in Week 2. Last week as the TE1, Mayer led the Silver and Black in target share at 24% and targets per route run at 30%. He had seven targets and caught six balls, with the Raiders playing with the lead from start to finish. He was also one of three pass-catchers to see a target in the red zone. He isn't running deep routes, but that's a good thing when his QB is Kirk Cousins. He could have a big-volume game if Las Vegas is forced to pass more than its 46% rate in Week 1.

An extreme throwing game script is suggested by the Raiders being a huge -7-point underdog in this game.. The leading projections forecast the Las Vegas Raiders to be the 6th-most pass-centric offense among all teams this week with a 60.1% pass rate, given their underlying traits and matchup dynamics.. Calm weather conditions (like the 1-mph wind being forecasted in this game) usually prompt increased passing effectiveness, higher touchdown potential, higher pass volume, and lower rush volume.. In this contest, Kirk Cousins is projected by the model to wind up with the 10th-most pass attempts out of all QBs with 35.1.

The Seattle Seahawks defense has been a prominent pass funnel since the start of last season, leading opposing quarterbacks to attempt the 3rd-most passes in football (36.1 per game) since the start of last season.. Trey McBride ranks as one of the leading pass-catching tight ends since the start of last season, averaging a stellar 64.0 adjusted yards per game while ranking in the 100th percentile.

The Seahawks will be starting backup QB Drew Lock this week, which typically means fewer pass attempts and more rushing.. The pass games of both teams (in terms of both volume and effectiveness) figure to benefit from the calm "weather" conditions (as in zero wind) inside this dome, while run volume may decline.. In this week's contest, Jaxon Smith-Njigba is predicted by the predictive model to slot into the 99th percentile when it comes to wide receivers with 10.8 targets.. With a high 36.5% Target% (100th percentile) since the start of last season, Jaxon Smith-Njigba rates as one of the wideouts with the biggest workloads in the NFL.. With an exceptional 86.0 adjusted receiving yards per game (99th percentile) since the start of last season, Jaxon Smith-Njigba ranks among the leading wide receivers in the league in the NFL.

With a 13-point advantage, the 49ers are a heavy favorite this week, implying much more of an emphasis on rushing than their typical approach.. Given their underlying propensities and matchup dynamics, our trusted projections expect the 49ers to run on 48.2% of their chances: the 4th-greatest clip among all teams this week.. The 10th-largest volume of plays in the NFL have been called by the San Francisco 49ers since the start of last season (a colossal 58.3 per game on average).. Brock Purdy's rushing efficiency (6.20 adjusted yards per carry) has been some of the best in the league since the start of last season (76th percentile among quarterbacks).. Since the start of last season, the anemic Dolphins run defense has surrendered a monstrous 141.0 adjusted rushing yards per game to opposing squads: the 2nd-worst in the NFL.

An extreme throwing game script is suggested by the Dolphins being a giant -13.5-point underdog in this game.. The 49ers defense has been a bit of pass funnel since the start of last season, allowing opposing QBs to attempt the 8th-most passes in the NFL (33.9 per game) since the start of last season.

The Commanders overcame a no-show first half in Philadelphia and looked very strong offensively in the final 30 minutes, amassing almost 200 yards and 13 points against the Eagles’ elite stop unit. Washington was No. 6 in EPA per play in 2H offense last week. Defensively, the Commies dialed up the chaos. New defensive coordinator Daronte Jones blitzed at the fifth highest rate among all Week 1 stop units, boiling up the ninth best pressure rate and three sacks. That was against Philly’s protection, which rates out as a Top 5 o-line. The Cowboys offensive line is nowhere close to that and losing LG Tyler Smith showed up against New York last Sunday night.

The reason I gravitate to Lamb over Pickens in Week 2 is Washington’s new defensive coordinator Daronte Jones and his blitz-happy approach. He blitzed at the fifth highest rate in Week 1 (37.5% up from 23.5% in 2025). Dak Prescott is exceptional at recognizing and exposing the blitz, most often finding Lamb on quick reads for yards after the catch. He has six touchdowns in 11 career games versus Washington and multiple projections have Lambs’s TD probability as high as 60% on Sunday.

Jones was under fire from the Baltimore defense in the opener. Despite all that pressure, Jones ran only one time for four yards. He’s a sneaky fast quarterback who broke away for at least 10 rushing yards in five of his 13 starts last year, including 16 yards on three carries versus Kansas City in Week 12. He was also playing hurt in most of those starts. On top of running away from the Chiefs pass rush on Sunday night, Jones often gets his number called on short yardage situations. His Week 1 rushing total was 10.5 O/U and his projections sat as high as 21 yards. After than lone carry versus Baltimore, this market is shrinking but forecasts still sit north of 10 rushing yards with a ceiling of 21 yards again. My number comes out to 18+ gains on the ground.

Given the matchup with the Colts and how they were burned by Baltimore’s slot WRs, I’m going back to the well with Rice on Sunday night. Indianapolis allowed 324 total passing yards to Lamar Jackson and 132 of those gains came from receivers lining up in the slot. These problems aren’t new, as the Colts allowed the third most fantasy points to slot receivers in 2025. Rice topped the Chiefs WRs in snaps, lining up in the slot and out wide in Week 1. He drew just two targets, one of which was for a 13-yard catch in the end zone. That gave Rice his eighth TD in his past 13 games going back to 2024 (and also a fine for punting the ball into the crowd). Touchdown probabilities bounce between 31% and 50% with most on the higher end.

Sean McVay is an excellent game planner with added time he'll work out the kinks on this offense. Matthew Stafford couldn’t get going against the 49ers but faces a softer stop unit from the Giants. New York’s defense looked much better than it truly was in Week 1, due to the offense grinding out gains and chewing up TOP. The Cowboys offense only had two second half possessions and while it was limited in action, Dallas ranked out well in terms of advanced metrics like EPA per play DVOA. This is a fast track indoor at SoFi Stadium and it doesn’t seem likely that L.A.’s offense gets bottled up for a second straight game.

An extreme passing game script is indicated by the Giants being a big -7-point underdog this week.. The 6th-highest number of plays in the league have been called by the Giants since the start of last season (a staggering 59.7 per game on average).. The pass attacks of both teams (as it relates to both volume and effectiveness) stand to benefit from the calm weather conditions (1-mph wind) being forecasted in this game, while ground volume may drop.. The Rams defense has been a glaring pass funnel since the start of last season, allowing opposing offenses to attempt the 6th-most passes in the league (34.3 per game) since the start of last season.. When talking about protecting the quarterback (and the positive impact it has on all pass attack stats), the O-line of the New York Giants profiles as the 10th-best in the league since the start of last season.

For every matchup in an NFL season, our NFL computer produces selections for a variety of different betting angles. Our computer picks are based on a proprietary algorithm that values each team in the current week to produce moneyline, spread, and point total selections.

The table above, below the game picks, tracks our NFL computer's results over the last 100 games, outlining the record and profit for selections, based on $100 unit size. We track the profit based on both opening and closing lines for every matchup.

How to Use NFL Computer Picks

The easiest way to utilize our computer picks is to simply follow our selections for every matchup, what you'd call ailing the computer." But there are other ways to utilize our NFL computer picks, as well.

You can use our NFL computer as a jumping-off point to do more research into specific lines, cross-referencing with expert picks, which can be found above the selections for some matchups, recent NFL betting trends, and more.

As well, you can gauge the confidence of the matchup. The larger the projected score, the more confident the computer is in a specific pick.

Or, if you want to implement a system, betting only on underdogs, for example, you can look for matchups in which our computer likes the underdog to inform which picks you're going to hone in on for a given week.

We have these computer picks for every sport you're looking to wager on, as well:

Moneyline

NFL moneyline picks are the simplest way to get in on the NFL action. All you have to do is simply bet on which team you think will win the game.

For moneyline picks, the favorite is represented with a minus sign (-) in front of the odds, while the underdog has a plus (+). However, you don't get the same profit for picking an underdog compared to a favorite. If the favored team is -120, a $100 bet on them would pay out $80 in profit and $180 total, if they win the game. The underdog winning at +150 would pay out a $150 profit, $250 total.

We have a complete breakdown of how to read NFL moneyline odds for these NFL computer picks.

Spread

While moneyline picks are the simplest, picking NFL games against the spread is probably the most common wager for regular NFL bettors.

To bet an NFL spread, you wager on whether a team will win by a certain number of points or more or if they'll lose by fewer points than the spread. For example, if the spread is -6.5 for the New England Patriots, you would win the bet if they win the game by 7 points or more. Or if a team is +6.5, you're betting on if they'll win outright or lose by fewer than 6.5 points.

There is a correlation between moneyline odds and the spread, as books set these lines based on the same information.

You can read more about NFL spreads here.

Totals (Over/Under)

If you aren’t entirely sold on which NFL team will win or cover in an NFL game, you can still use our NFL computer picks to bet on the point total.

As opposed to taking a side, in total or Over/Under betting, you wager on whether both NFL teams will combine for a final score of more than (Over) or less than (Under) the total number of points set by oddsmakers.

The computer picks, and your handicapping of totals is more about how you think both teams will score points, not which team has the edge to win.
