St. Louis Blues vs Ottawa Senators Match Player Stats On Oct 10, 2019

David Perron scored twice to lift the visiting St. Louis Blues past the Ottawa Senators 6-4 on Thursday night.

The Blues rallied from 2-0 and 3-2 deficits to win their third consecutive game. The rebuilding Senators are winless in three games.

Ryan O'Reilly had a goal and three assists for the Blues, and Oskar Sundqvist, Jay Bouwmeester and Brayden Schenn also scored.

Goaltender Jake Allen stopped 25 of 29 shots for the Blues in his first start of the season.

Vitaly Abramov, Artem Anisimov, Chris Tierney and Anthony Duclair scored for the Senators. Goaltender Anders Nilsson, also making his first start, stopped 31 of 36 shots.

Allen gifted the Senators a 1-0 lead at 8:10 of the first period. He went behind the net to play a dump-in, allowing the puck to hop over his stick to Scott Sabourin, who fired it to Abramov in front of the net for the easy conversion.

The Senators made it 2-0 by converting a Bouwmeester turnover. Connor Brown passed the puck from the left corner to the slot and Anisimov hammered home a one-timer with 53 seconds left in the first period.

The Blues cut the lead to 2-1 with a power-play goal midway through the second period. Perron sliced through the right circle and gained shooting room with a nifty toe-drag move.

That was the 200th goal of Perron's NHL career.

Sundqvist tied the game off a faceoff win by linemate Ivan Barbashev. Sundqvist darted toward the high slot on his forehand and buried a snap shot.

Tierney's short-handed goal put Ottawa up 3-2 with 2:11 left in the period. He stole the puck along the wall, blew past Justin Faulk, fended off Alex Pietrangelo and muscled the puck past Allen.

The Blues tied the game at 3 early in the third period on Bouwmeester's slap shot from the left point.

Schenn converted a Senators neutral zone turnover into a break-in through the right circle and a 4-3 lead with 7:13 remaining in the third. Duclair tied the game with 5:48 left, taking a pass from Bobby Ryan to score from the high slot.

But Perron's second goal -- off a breakout triggered by Allen's outlet pass -- made it 5-4 with 5:06 left in the third. O'Reilly scored the clincher into an empty net.
