Captain Roman Josi has played a significant role in the Nashville Predators' ascent in the Central Division. Named the NHL's Second Star of the Week, Josi looks to send the Predators to their fourth straight win on Tuesday when they host the Chicago Blackhawks.

Josi was a key contributor at the offensive end on Saturday as he scored a goal and set up two others -- including fellow defenseman Ryan Ellis' overtime tally -- in a 3-2 victory at Tampa Bay. The 29-year-old Josi has three goals and four assists during his second four-game point streak of the season, during which Nashville owns a 3-0-1 mark. Chicago erupted for its best offensive performance of the young season on Sunday as it snapped a four-game skid with a 5-1 victory over Los Angeles. "Any time you go on a skid you want to end it as soon as possible. I'm glad we could get the win and we just need to keep going with it," said Alex DeBrincat, who scored a goal and set up two others against the Kings.

ABOUT THE BLACKHAWKS (3-5-2): Dylan Strome joined DeBrincat with a three-point performance (two goals, one assist) as the forwards clicked on the same line in much the same manner as they did with the Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League. "We kind of find each other pretty easily," the 22-year-old Strome said. "We were excited before the game to get back together. He's obviously a great player. (Sunday night) he found me a few times and I paid him back for one there in the slot (in the second period). It was nice to be back on his line." Patrick Kane, who set up a goal against Los Angeles for his lone point in the last four games overall, had five assists in the season series versus Nashville in 2018-19,

ABOUT THE PREDATORS (7-3-1): Josi (five goals, eight assists) and Ellis (two goals, 11 assists) are tied for second among defensemen in the NHL with 13 points apiece, with the pair being the first teammates to reach the baker's dozen in the first 11 games of the season since Phil Housley and Fredrik Olausson accomplished the feat with Winnipeg in 1992-93. Ryan Johansen has three assists in his last two contests overall and had five in four games against Chicago last season. Pekka Rinne, who won three of those decisions versus the Blackhawks in 2018-19, owns a sparkling 5-0-1 record with one shutout, a 1.98 goals-against average and .929 save percentage in six starts at home.
