The St. Louis Blues have felt quite comfortable in tight games the last three weeks and the reigning Stanley Cup champions look to extend their winning streak to eight when they host the Arizona Coyotes on Tuesday night. The Blues have won six times during their run by one goal, including five in overtime, after David Perron scored 2:46 into the extra session to beat Calgary 3-2 on Saturday.

“I just feel like we turned the page after every night,” Perron, who has eight goals, told reporters. “We keep going back at it the next day and try to work some more, try to get better and keep cleaning up stuff from our game or individually. I’ve been impressed with the group the way we’ve reacted every single night and even back-to-backs. We’ve won them all, so it’s been awesome.” St. Louis has dropped four of its past five meetings with Arizona, which blew a three-goal lead Monday before recovering for a 4-3 shootout victory at red-hot Washington to snap a three-game losing streak. Top point producer Nick Schmaltz (15) and leading goal scorer Conor Garland (seven) each converted in the bonus format for the Coyotes, who have coughed up a lead in the second period or later in five straight contests. Arizona is tied for third in the league in least goals against (44) and has gained a point in eight of its 10 road games (6-2-2) this season.

ABOUT THE COYOTES (10-6-2): Clayton Keller scored for the second time in four contests Monday and is tied with defenseman Alex Goligoski for second on the team with 11 points. Right wing Michael Grabner has scored in back-to-back contests and boasts at least a point in five straight games with a plus-4 rating in that span. Antti Raanta had 31 saves to earn the win Monday and Darcy Kuemper (7-5-0, 2.00 goals-against average, .930 save percentage) is likely to get the call against the Blues.

ABOUT THE BLUES (12-3-3): Center Ryan O’Reilly has wielded a hot stick since the winning streak began, recording four goals and seven assists during the run to push his team-leading total to 19 points - one more than Perron. Defenseman Alex Pietrangelo has a goal and five assists over the past three contests to push his total to 16 points - tied with forward Brayden Schenn for third on the team. Goalie Jordan Binnington (9-2-3, 2.39 goals-against average, .922 save percentage) has given up two goals or fewer in six of his last eight starts and won seven of them - five straight.

OVERTIME

1. Arizona F Christian Fischer scored his first goal of the season Monday, snapping a nine-game point drought.

2. The Blues have brought in veteran Fs Troy Brouwer and Jamie McGinn on 10-day professional tryout contracts.
