Chicago @ Nashville preview
Bridgestone Arena
Last Meeting ( Oct 29, 2019 ) Chicago 0, Nashville 3
The Chicago Blackhawks have finally discovered an offensive groove, reversing a trend from early in the season when they managed to score more than three goals only once in a span of a dozen games. The Blackhawks have won three of their last four, scoring five goals in each of the wins, and hope to carry the momentum into Saturday night's matchup at the Nashville Predators.
Chicago spotted host Vegas an early two-goal lead before erupting for five unanswered tallies Wednesday to extend its point streak to four games (3-0-1). "It's good for the guys, good confidence boost," coach Jeremy Colliton said. "A reminder that we're trending the right way. By no means are we perfect. We got lots of work to do but that's a good team and ... we took two points in their barn." The Predators capped a four-game winning streak with a 3-0 win over Chicago on Oct. 29, allowing a total of three goals, but they have dropped five of six since and were pierced for 15 tallies in losing their last three. "It's a long season, 82 games, and you're going to lose some hockey games," forward Austin Watson said of the 1-2-1 road trip. "It's definitely no reason to panic, but obviously we all want to be better."

ABOUT THE BLACKHAWKS (7-7-4): Eschewing the philosophy of many coaches, Colliton has divvied up the workload between goaltenders Robin Lehner and Corey Crawford equally over the past 10 games. "We've got two guys that are outstanding, and I think they're both going real well now and that's a huge advantage for us," Colliton said. "No matter who is in the net, we're getting a chance to win. It gives our guys a chance to come through offensively, so they've been big for us." Patrick Kane has been a driving force with six goals and eight assists during a seven-game point streak.
ABOUT THE PREDATORS (9-6-3): Missing nearly 2 1/2 weeks due to a lower-body injury did not cool off star forward Filip Forsberg, who is riding a four-game goal-scoring streak and five-game point string while amassing nine tallies and five assists in his 12 contests. Goaltender Pekka Rinne has surrendered nine goals in losing his last two starts but he blanked the Blackhawks last month to run his career mark against them to 23-17-5 with a 2.37 goals-against average and three shutouts. Rinne has yet to lose in regulation at home this season, posting a 6-0-2 record with a pair of shutouts.
OVERTIME
