Last Meeting ( Mar 9, 2019 ) Vegas 6, Vancouver 2

The Vegas Golden Knights try to continue their mastery over Vancouver when they host the Canucks on Sunday in the first of two meetings in five days. Vegas, which is 7-0-1 all-time versus Vancouver since joining the league for the 2017-18 season, is coming off a 3-2 overtime victory at Dallas on Friday while the Canucks began a two-game trip with a 4-2 loss to San Jose on Saturday.

The Golden Knights' Max Pacioretty has scored in three straight games for the second time this season after delivering 51 seconds into the extra session Friday. Pacioretty leads the club with 30 points and scored four goals in four games against Vancouver last season - his first with Vegas. Marc-Andre Fleury is 5-0-1 with a 1.85 goals-against average and .934 save percentage against the Canucks since joining the Golden Knights, improving his career numbers versus Vancouver to 11-2-1, 2.57, .912. The Canucks are treading water in the Pacific, going 4-3-0 in their last seven games overall, and trying to remain relevant in the playoff race.

TV: 8 p.m. ET, Sportsnet, TVA (Vancouver), AT&T SportsNet Rocky Mountain (Vegas)

ABOUT THE CANUCKS (16-13-4): Elias Pettersson (team-high 34 points) was kept off the scoresheet Saturday and was a minus-2 for his first minus rating in six December games, making him minus-2 for the season. Pettersson shares the club lead in goals (13) with J.T. Miller, who is pointless in three games after collecting five goals and six assists during an eight-game point streak. Jacob Markstrom stopped 23-of-25 shots versus San Jose, which scored two empty-net goals, and could come right back unless coach Travis Green decides to give Michael DiPietro, 20, his second career start and first of the season.

ABOUT THE GOLDEN KNIGHTS (17-13-5): Pacioretty and Reilly Smith share the team lead in goals (13) with Smith boasting a 15.3 shooting percentage. Mark Stone (11 goals, 28 points) recorded a pair of assists Friday and has four in his last three games. Jonathan Marchessault (nine goals, 23 points) needs one score for 100 while Alex Tuch (five goals, five assists in 18 games) is one point shy of 100.
