Last Meeting ( Mar 29, 2019 ) Minnesota 3, Vegas 2

The Vegas Golden Knights have earned points in eight of their last 10 games (7-2-1) and are trying to re-establish their dominance at home entering Tuesday night's matchup against the Minnesota Wild. The Golden Knights have won their last two at T-Mobile Arena in impressive fashion but have dropped all three home matchups to the Wild.

Vegas matched a season-high goal total in Sunday's 6-3 rout of visiting Vancouver to improve to 62-28-10 at T-Mobile -- the fourth-best record by a franchise in its first 100 regular-season home games. “It’s just good to get our mojo back and get some confidence,” forward Jonathan Marchessault said. “We’re a tough team to play against when we play with that intensity.” Minnesota opened its three-game trek with a 5-3 loss at Chicago and will play its league-high 22nd road game, but has earned points in all six matchups (5-0-1) versus the Golden Knights. "We've had an awful lot of Minnesota people traveling and cheering, which has really helped us out," coach Bruce Boudreau said of the team's success in Sin City. "I think we know the atmosphere here is so great, and we've played well."

TV: 10 p.m. ET, FS North, FS Wisconsin (Minnesota), AT&T Sportsnet-Rocky Mountain (Las Vegas)

ABOUT THE WILD (16-13-5): Captain Mikko Koivu and defenseman Jared Spurgeon, who have been sidelined since they were both injured on Dec. 3, joined the team at Monday's practice, although Koivu did not make it through the session. Goaltender Devan Dubnyk, who has not played since Nov. 16 while helping his wife deal with a medical issue, is traveling with the team and could serve as the backup Tuesday and possibly make a start Thursday. Alex Stalock, who won his lone start versus the Golden Knights in 2017, will start Tuesday.

ABOUT THE GOLDEN KNIGHTS (18-13-5): Max Pacioretty scored twice and set up two others in Sunday's win to cap a four-game stretch that earned him NHL First Star of the Week honors on Monday. Pacioretty collected five goals and three assists during a four-game point streak to take over the team lead in both categories with 15 and 19. "I'm obviously playing on a really good line with two really good players and getting a ton of opportunities," Pacioretty said. "That's kind of my job is to make sure that I finish those opportunities."

OVERTIME

1. Vegas G Marc-Andre Fleury has lost two of three starts with seven goals allowed versus Minnesota over the past two seasons.

2. Wild F Eric Staal has four goals during a three-game streak.

3. Pacioretty had two goals and an assist in three meetings versus Vegas last season.

PREDICTION: Golden Knights 4, Wild 3
