Last Meeting ( Mar 25, 2019 ) Los Angeles 3, Calgary 0

The Calgary Flames took care of business last time out as they wrapped up their first division title in 13 seasons and clinched the top seed in the Western Conference. The Flames now look to record their third straight victory when they continue a three-game road trip Monday against the Los Angeles Kings.

Fourteen players landed on the scoresheet in Sunday's 5-3 triumph at San Jose as the Flames secured the Pacific Division title - their first since winning the Northwest in 2005-06. Johnny Gaudreau notched a pair of assists to eclipse the career high of 60 he registered last season and increase his team-leading point total to 96. Los Angeles avoided a third consecutive loss on Saturday as it returned from a 1-1-1 road trip to edge Chicago 3-2 in overtime. Defenseman Drew Doughty scored a power-play goal at 4:48 of the extra session for the Kings, whose victory during their trek was a 3-0 triumph in Calgary last Monday.

TV: 10 p.m. ET, Sportsnet West (Calgary), Prime Ticket (Los Angeles)

ABOUT THE FLAMES (49-23-7): Sean Monahan's drought appears to be over as he tallied in Sunday's win to give him three goals and two assists in his last two games. The 24-year-old center had gone five games without a point after recording four against New Jersey on March 12. Mikael Backlund scored his 21st goal of the season on Sunday, putting him within one of matching the career high he set in 2016-17.

ABOUT THE KINGS (29-40-9): Doughty's goal on Saturday was the 25th game-winner of his career, tying him with Charlie Simmer and Alexander Frolov for 10th place on the franchise list. Captain Anze Kopitar set up a tally against the Blackhawks, giving him two goals and seven assists over his last eight contests. The 31-year-old Slovenian, who leads the team with 57 points, will appear in his 1,000th NHL game on Monday.

OVERTIME

1. Flames F Elias Lindholm was one of only two forwards on the team to be held without a point on Sunday as he was kept off the scoresheet for the sixth time in seven games.

2. Los Angeles RW Tyler Toffoli has landed on the scoresheet in four of his last five contests (one goal, three assists).

3. Calgary C Derek Ryan also failed to notch a point against San Jose, keeping him three shy of matching the career high of 38 he registered with Carolina last season.

PREDICTION: Flames 4, Kings 2
