Vegas will be playing on the second night of a back-to-back to close out the year, after they lost 5-4 to the Flames in a shootout on Tuesday night. The Golden Knights rested most of their key players against the Flames, and the expectation is they will do more of the same at Rogers Arena on Wednesday as they prepare for a Round 1 series with the Minnesota Wild. That doesn’t mean Vegas won’t compete, as they still rang up four goals against a Calgary side that was still alive in the playoff picture as the puck dropped. However, Vancouver should want to close it out strong in front of its home fans, and the value is there. They have been playing good hockey down the homestretch, going 3-0-1 over their last four games, including a 2-1 OT win over the Sharks last time out.
