The Connecticut Sun look to continue their dominant season at home from Mohegan Sun Arena against the struggling Atlanta Dream.
With an MVP candidate leading the Sun, the WNBA odds have them as a 12-point favorite in what could be a blowout.

Dream vs Sun predictions
My best bet
Alyssa Thomas Over 29.5 points + rebounds + assists (-115 at bet365)
My analysis
The WNBA is so talent-rich right now that Alyssa Thomas can borderline average a triple-double in back-to-back seasons and still not win MVP. After coming fourth two years ago and being the runner-up last year, it looks like she’ll place Top 3 but not take it home again this season.
While unseating A’ja Wilson atop the WNBA MVP odds is an impossible task, Thomas remains the most unique player in the league. She’s a dominant rebounder with scoring touch around the rim and innate playmaking instincts that allow her to set her teammates up for easy buckets.
Good luck to the Dream. Stopping Thomas isn’t really possible, which is why the Connecticut Sun are 16-4 this season. The 6-foot-2 forward dubbed “The Engine” is averaging a combined 29.6 points, rebounds, and assists, and has bullied the Atlanta Dream in her two games against them this season.
While the Dream did beat the Sun the last time the two played, Thomas is averaging 32 points, rebounds, and assists against them. She should be able to put up similar numbers once again against a Dream team that’s fourth-last in net rating (-6.0).
Not only is Atlanta in the back half of the league in defensive rating (103.4), but it’s allowing the third-most defensive rebounds per game to opponents (27.3) and giving up the sixth-most assists (20.9).
While Thomas isn’t a high-volume shooter, she can hit the Over on this prop thanks to her rebounds and assists. She’s coming off a triple-double against the Minnesota Lynx, and has hit double-digit rebounds in nine games this season and double-digit assists in four.
Thomas has already gone Over 29.5 points, rebounds, and assists in 11 of 20 games this season.
Dream vs Sun same-game parlay (SGP)
Alyssa Thomas Over 29.5 points + rebounds + assists
DeWanna Bonner Over 1.5 made 3s
Allisha Gray Over 17.5 points
What makes the Sun such a tough matchup is Thomas’ ability to find cutters and kick to open shooters, which is why she works perfectly with DeWanna Bonner. At 6-foot-4, the five-time All-Star can space the floor or win down low.
That ability from behind the arc should come in handy against the Dream. Atlanta is allowing the third-highest 3-point percentage in the WNBA (35%) and giving up 8.3 threes per game.
While Bonner’s shooting has been a little iffy this season, she’s still taking a ton of 3s, leading the team with 5.3 attempts per game. That volume should help her hit at least two for the 11th time this season.
To make this a game against Thomas and Bonner, the Dream need Allisha Gray to keep up her impressive play. With Rhyne Howard out due to an ankle injury, Gray has taken on a bigger workload. As a result, she’s averaging 19.7 ppg over her last four games and has topped 17.5 in five of her last eight.
