Lynx vs Liberty props

Prop bet #1: Breanna Stewart Over 20.5 points

-120 at DraftKings

This one has a Breanna Stewart bounce-back effort all over it, after a nightmarish end in the Game 1 loss.

With the game essentially in her hands, Stewart missed a free throw with 0.8 seconds left to break a tie, pushing the game to OT.

With the New York Liberty down two in the extra frame, Stewart could not convert a contested shot at the rim, and the Lynx escaped with a 95-93 win.

Stewart still finished with 18 points, nine rebounds, three assists, and two blocks, but her 6-for-21 effort from the field was her worst shooting night in these playoffs.

While she’s only topped 21 points once in seven playoff games, expect the two-time league MVP and six-time all-star to lead New York in what feels like a must-win — if they intend to finally shake that title drought in the Big Apple.

Prop bet #2: Napheesa Collier Over 20.5 points

-110 at DraftKings

So far, no one has been able to contain Minnesota Lynx forward Napheesa Collier.

Collier is the leading scorer in the playoffs, pouring in 26.4 points per game on a crisp 55.6% shooting clip.

Her tough turnaround bucket in OT finally put the Liberty away, as Collier finished with 21 points on 10-for-16 shooting while adding eight boards, three steals, and six blocks.

That makes it six times in eight games the Minnesota star has topped the 20-point plateau.

The books have kindly set her line at a gettable 20.5 points — partly because Collier needed OT to get to 21, and because it’s the first time she’s topped 20 points against a good Liberty defense in four games this season.

However, Collier has taken just two free throws in each game against New York this season. For someone who leads the playoffs at 7.5 trips per contest, even a slight tilt to that total (along with her roughly 17 field goal attempts per game), and she should be clearing that scoring line one more time.

Prop bet #3: Sabrina Ionescu Over 5.5 assists

-105 at DraftKings

Stewart wasn’t the only Liberty star playing out of character in Game 1.

Sabrina Ionescu was the second-leading scorer with 19 points, adding five rebounds, three assists, and four steals, but she took a season-high 26 field goal attempts and hit at a lowly 30.8% clip.

The Liberty star can score the rock — Ionescu is a Top-10 scorer in the league this year — but she’s also Top 5 in assists, so look for her to get her teammates involved early and often.

This regular season, Ionescu took at least 21 shots in a game seven times.

The last three times, she’s bounced back with at least seven assists the next outing, which clears her 5.5 assist line for Sunday.

In all, she topped that assist line four times, hitting five assists on two other occasions.

I like her to stay on trend in Game 2.
