What is Unrivaled Basketball?

A new era has arrived in professional women's basketball as the inaugural season of Unrivaled Basketball has started to make waves. With co-founders Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart at the helm, the new 3-on-3 league was built in collaboration with some of the biggest stars in the WNBA to help bridge the gap of brand creation and offseason basketball opportunities in the United States. The league will feature 36 players including Angel Reese, Sabrina Ionescu, Cameron Brink, and many more.

Six teams will be in the mix with six players for each squad as each game will tip off in Miami, Florida. Though this sort of venture is a leap of faith for the growing landscape of women's basketball, many stars such as Coco Gauff, Carmelo Anthony, Dawn Staley, Giannis Antetokounmpo — just to name a few — have already invested in the platform, and the league will be offering the highest average salaries in women's sports history.

A few familiar faces will also be in coaching positions for the startup including former Chicago Sky head coach and New York Liberty great, Teresa Weatherspoon.

Unrivaled Basketball rules

The 3-on-3 league will feature hour-long games, split into four quarters of play. The season includes nine weeks of round-robin play, with the Top 4 teams at the end of the regular season advancing to the playoffs.

Including the playoffs, the season will last through March 17 — just in time for the players to get adequate rest and recovery before the WNBA season begins in May.

How to watch Unrivaled Basketball

All of the Unrivaled Basketball games will be broadcast on  TNT and truTV and streamed on Max. There will be a doubleheader every Monday, Friday, and Saturday night — so get ready for it all to go down in the 305 in a can't-miss-movement for many of the illustrious ladies of the WNBA.
