My best bet
Lynx -7.5 (-110 at DraftKings)

My analysis

The Minnesota Lynx are arguably the most well-rounded team in the WNBA, ranking third in scoring at 84.7 points per game, shooting 42.9% from the field and 36.3% from distance, Top-2 marks in the league.

Defensively, they’re giving up just 75 points per game (second only to the Sun) while holding teams to a WNBA-best 39.8% shooting from the field and 28.4% from 3-point range.

That’s helped Minny to a tie atop the standings in point differential with the Liberty at +9.7. New York also happens to be the team that the Lynx just upended in a 94-89 triumph last time out.

The Chicago Sky are wrapping up a four-game homestand Sunday, hoping to take three out of four. They were topped last time out by the Las Vegas Aces, 95-83.

The Sky are a nearly one-dimensional offensive group, limited by their inability to shoot the ball.

Chicago is dead-last in 3-point shooting, hitting at a 29.7% rate, while connecting on just over four 3-pointers per contest.

They need simple math to overcome those woes, which means taking more shots, and they’re second in the league in attempts per game at 70.6.

That’s helped by a relentless rebounding attack: Chicago is first in offensive rebounding at 11.2 per game, and third in second-chance points at 11.5 points. They also lead the league in paint scoring at 41.9 points per contest.

The Sky have struggled at home this season, going just 3-6 in nine games, tied for the second-fewest home wins in the league. Their inability to shoot the 3-ball voids the Lynx’s biggest defensive weakness.

This is the first of three meetings this season, with the two teams alternating wins and losses in six straight head-to-heads.

Minnesota should make it two straight, as their balance makes them a hard opponent. In its last 10 wins, eight have been by at least eight points.

Lynx vs Sky same-game parlay (SGP)

Lynx -7.5

Angel Reese Under 11.5 rebounds

Napheesa Collier Under 21.5 points

Angel Reese has been a rebounding beast for the Sky. Since opening her career with just one double-digit rebound performance over her first six games, she’s grabbed at least 10 rebounds in 10 straight. She’s crossed her rebounding total of 11.5 set for Sunday on six of those occasions.

But Minnesota is fifth in rebounding overall, and third on the defensive glass. Their work against the league’s top rebounders is pretty solid.

They’ve held Top-5 rebounders A’ja Wilson, Dearica Hamby (twice), and Alyssa Thomas to under 11.5 rebounds each. Sunday will be another one.

We’re also taking the under on Minnesota’s Napheesa Collier’s scoring total of 21.5.

She is coming off a 29-point, 11-rebound, four-assist gem last time out against Dallas while going over this line in two of her last three. However, Collier was listed on the injury report with a wrist injury on her shooting hand.

She is listed as probable for the game, but any tweak or injury scare would almost surely send her to the bench, and there’s a very real possibility her shooting could be an issue, even if she doesn’t suffer any more damage.
