With Cody Fajardo and Trevor Harris both expected to return under center on Friday, the Montreal Alouettes and Saskatchewan Roughriders Week 11 battle has become even more intriguing.

My Alouettes vs. Roughriders predictions zero in on a budding Alouettes receiver who should flourish in Regina, as my CFL picks expect a high-scoring affair to develop at Mosaic Stadium on Friday, August 16.

Alouettes vs Roughriders prediction

My best bet
Charleston Rambo Over 58.5 receiving yards (-114 at FanDuel)

My analysis
The news heading into Friday's game in Regina may be the potential return of two starting quarterbacks, but the biggest factor on the injury report for our best bet pertains to the health of Montreal Alouettes wide receiver Tyson Philpot.

The Canadian wideout ranks second in league receiving yards (779) but was banged up in last week's win over Hamilton. Philpot didn't practice at all this week and has since been ruled out with a foot injury, making way for a different receiver to benefit from Cody Fajardo's return at quarterback.

Enter, Charleston Rambo. Best known for his time playing WR2 at Oklahoma next to CeeDee Lamb, the 25-year-old has started to break out in his first year north of the border.

Rambo is coming off two consecutive games of 80+ receiving yards, including last week's 8-catch, 124-yard performance against Hamilton where he hauled in two touchdowns.

With Philpot listed out, Rambo should continue to put up gaudy numbers against a Saskatchewan Roughriders pass defense that ranks dead-last in the CFL, allowing 306.2 yards through the air per game.

Alouettes vs Roughriders same-game parlay (SGP)

Charleston Rambo Over 58.5

Trevor Harris Over 273.5

Over 50.5

Along with taking Rambo to shine in a WR1 role, I expect both teams to pile on the points in this one. Saskatchewan's leaky defense against aerial attacks will force Trevor Harris to sling it throughout, and the veteran pivot easily eclipsed 273.5 passing yards in his two full starts this season.

The 39-year-old threw for 303 in Week 1 against Edmonton and 390 in Week 2 against Hamilton. Factoring in both offenses thriving in this one, the full game Over is a no-brainer to wrap up Friday's SGP.
