Against the spread (ATS) pick

These teams played against each other almost exactly a year ago with the Chiefs holding on for a 33-28 win at Arrowhead.

This season, the Ravens have looked dominant on both sides of the ball, while the Chiefs showed some cracks last week against the Chargers. That said, any time you have an offense as explosive as the Chiefs — and Patrick Mahomes at quarterback — you have more than a decent chance of winning a game.

Mahomes actually played better on the road than at home last year, completing 67.7 percent of his passes for 2,374 yards and 15 touchdowns against just two interceptions. He also shredded the Ravens for 374 yards through the air and three scores in last year's game. This should be a great game and if you're able to back the defending champs with points...you take it.

PREDICTION: Kansas City +3.5 (-110)

Over/Under pick

Both squads obviously have two of the best quarterbacks (and the most high-octane offenses) in the league, but there's reason to suspect this game might end up sneaking Under the total.

The Ravens defense has looked terrific so far this season, allowing the fewest points and the second-fewest yards in the league. And the Chiefs stop unit hasn't been too shabby either, ranking ninth in the league in scoring defense and second in quarterback pressures.

Perhaps more importantly, the Ravens attack is very run-heavy — which leads to chewing up the clock. The Chiefs got owned when it came to ball control last week, with a time of possession of just 22:46 in regulation, and might look to close that gap by employing a more balanced attack against the Ravens. Take the Under.

PREDICTION: Under 54.5 (-110)

Player Prop

Reigning NFL MVP Lamar Jackson has been a highly-efficient passer so far this year. However, he hasn't been asked to throw the ball a whole lot, with just 24 pass attempts in Week 1 and 25 in Week 2. Last season, Jackson averaged 26.7 pass attempts per game, which makes the Over/Under of 32.5 on his pass attempts total a bit surprising.

Jackson went Over that number in just four of 15 regular season games last year. Although one of those Overs was the contest against KC, it's worth noting that the Ravens trailed 23-6 at half in that game, which forced Jackson to throw the ball more. Expect a different game script this time around and take the Under.

PREDICTION: Lamar Jackson pass attempts Under 32.5 (-120)
