I feel strongly Alan Green is one of the most over rated boxers in the world today. For me Andre Ward is not only the best Super Middleweight (Including Lucian Bute) but I have him top 5 P4P in the world today.
Yes Green has power in both hands but Andre Ward is extremely smart fighter with superb defensive skills. This is a fantastic matchup for Ward and it will be a lopsided win. Just not sure if Ward can get the KO so I will play Ward on Points and Ward to win by KO between rounds 10-12. I wouldn't rule out an early KO here at all but Alan Green showed toughness to hang on in there with Miranda when he was gassed quite early in that fight. Also the only criticism I have for Andre Ward is that at times he lacks that killer instinct when he has got his opponent in trouble..I think maybe Green can hang on till late.
I have parlayed Ward -600 with alot of things. Steve Molitor and Devon Alexander to me look very strong upcoming picks so maybe an idea to combine both. My biggest parlay here is (sorry to mention figures but it gives an idea what you could win if it hits) $6000 to win $8166.67 Ward and Alexander. That's a 2k win for what looks to me a VERY safe bet..
On the Ward fight I just can't be sure when or how he gets the win so I REALLY like parlaying here. I will take a chance on
Ward on points @ Evens
Ward to win between rounds 10-12 @ +800
I know a lot of people who Hate betting heavy odds against (e.g -600). I am not crazy about it myself to be honest but I feel Andre Ward and a Devon Alexander parley are very strong plays. No bet is a guarantee, especially in a boxing ring where one punch can change everything or a guy fights when he is not 100% and you find this out after the fight when your counting your losses but for me this looks a great way to make 2k (assuming you have 6k to gamble with, but it works the same for 600 or even 60 bucks)..
Hopes this helps people..

Henry I aint touching Chavez v Duddy with a barge pole. I hate both fighters, think they are both over rated and these are the fights I just will not play on. Some other good cappers may have a strong opinion but for me this is a no play. If pushed I would lean towards Chavez but honestly I wouldn't trust either man.
Maybe the over is the safest play here. Haven't seen a line for that yet. Duddy has heart but then again he cuts so easy. If I part with more then 50 bucks I'd be surprised and probably won't part with any..
I am on fire in the soccer section. Hitting like crazy in the world cup (check Vanzacks soccer thread). Will be doing my own thread as it seems I have a following now in the soccer section. Hopefully we can get some winners there..

Sounds good, I agree both are over rated Duddy is never impressive so I am leaning Chavez, mainly because of Freddy in his corner.. Will check you out in the soccer section, gl

I agree Mack, I feel Ward could get him out late but cannot be sure he will go for the KO.
I don't see ANY props yet, so like you said the two safest plays are Ward and Devon Alexander in a parlay which I don't usually recommend either (most of the time) but these are the two safest plays out there.
I don't see Allan Green winning, he either get's KO'd late or loses a lopsided decision and Alexander I like just as much as Ward they are both Top Notch Boxers worthy of a parlay bet.
Only caveat is you tie up your money Until August. I will probably will just moneyline-parlay INTO the WARD fight.
Good luck to you and everyone else!

Rich agree 100%. I normally don't play Parlay's and recommend against them. "When it comes to betting I have had 2 absolute certainties and they both lost" (Leicester Piggot, retired flat jockey). You have to except losing when it comes to betting. If you can't afford it don't bet but I feel this parlay is a very good bet if you can afford it. If not play on the points or late KO.
Rich is right about the prop bets here in this spot. I normally don't bet Props but I will be here. Ward will roll IMO but hard to know how he wins. Prop bet could very well be the way to go

Chavez is so garbage, I've seen this kid fight at least 40 times and none of his fights have been against anyone with a pulse and like his weak opponents so are his skills and his excitement factor. One of the most broing fighters I've ever seen who continuosly gets chance after chance to showcase his weak skills on any PPV they can stick him into.

I have been on the end of some horrific prop beats Ward decision over Kessler was the right side, but the ref in Oakland stopped it on cuts and all of a sudden Ward on points is a loser tough to guess these to the exact result but I agree I think Ward can get Green out of there Who the hell has Allan Green ever beat?

The price tells you that Greene has a very slim chance at winning. Ward too fast. Greene more talk then action. Hard to imagine this being very competitive. Agree with most of the posters on this one. Ward all the way.

Mack actually I was saying that a prop bet isn't a good idea, that your parlay idea is much better.
For Green backers they don't even need a prop as the fight is -900 now, way too high for me to even step in on it.
I missed the boat was going to Parlay the Lakers game 6 (Money lined) into the Ward fight but didn't pull the trigger.
Good luck,

I got Ward @-600 Rich and felt the price would go up but to -900! wow I was not expecting that. Only thing that concerns me is Green's power which is real and genuine. You fight bet not to go the distance might be a very smart play..

You said you had a parlay that you bet 6k to win 8.16k. Ward is -950 and Alexander is -800. that parlay pays $.25 for each $1 bet. Did you parlay a prop or something? I'm a little confused. I like the winners though, just questioning the odds

Read his post above he got Ward at -600 and Alexander a bit cheaper, Ward has sky rocketed he was at -550 to start then slowly went to -600 then today -900.
Sometimes you lock in your plays early, you get the better odds.
I like to wager after the weigh ins, maker sure each guy looks okay.
-900 is too high and Alexander is going to go up as the fight nears.
Maybe add a 3rd high profile fight to the mix in a parlay?
Too much chalk even in a parlay if one is betting TODAY.
Good Luck,
