Yeah Urango hit the canvas on a short crisp right. Luckily the cut he got was under the eye.

I believe Urango is stuck between a rock and a hard place right now.

I say this because of his weight, he really cannot make 140, but cannot handle the 147 division.

Not sure how long he will be able to make 140, he looked a bit slower tonight and I think it's because he is really struggling to make 140.

He pulled it through though, but had to get off the canvas, he has a great chin his style makes for exciting fights.

    Welcome back :)

Nice call on Cloud, I felt he truly needed this fight. I needed to see him tested rounds and stamina wise. Woods brought out the best in Cloud.

How Woods didn''t fall is beyond me, congrats on nailing the pick.

It was an easy fight, oddly the judges had it closer than what it was 116-112 and he is the Florida Fighter lol!

    Let's keep winning!

I thought Woods was visibly bigger. Now Cloud has been in with a name, maybe his pop isn't so spectacular.

Well we know Woods has an Iron Chin, only Roy Jones stopped him in 47 fights. I think Cloud had him hurt badly in the 8th and 10th especially in the 8th.

Woods was 4 inches Taller, and lord knows how many inches in REACH.

Regardless Cloud needed this fight badly, not only a name under his belt, he now has rounds under his belt (legit rounds)

What I saw a lot of from Cloud was ARM punches, he doesn't get amazing leverage from his legs.

He did get hit a lot, if you look at the punch stats, Woods landed at a higher percentage. That left jab was there all night for Woods, he didn't use it enough.

Then again at 37 years of age and tons of big fights, he did exactly what he was supposed to do make Cloud LOOK GOOD.

Many good fights ahead for Cloud. I think tonight was an amazing success for him, only better he could of done was a stoppage.

He's fun to watch, cannot say that about Chad Dawson :-)

Who would you like to see him against next? Dawson won't happen right away as Dawson must deal with Glen Johnson first.

Cloud did one bad thing (maybe his management) they waited 12 months for Dawson in the meantime not fighting anyone. A young hungry fighter must fight more often, cannot WAIT.

I say he's young but he's 27, I know he quit boxing after the Olympics  not sure why, but he finds himself in a good position.

Maybe, but there have been building up Woods in the media as well. A while back the Calzaghe banter...a rematch with Jones, etc. He's better than expected thats for sure. But I've seen a few guys with similar records lose recently. Beating Woods was a good win.

I didn't like his lack of sportsmanship though. Twice Woods attempted a dap of sorts and Cloud went right after him. Thats cool in the am's, but public relations is a big thing in the boxing game.

A good next opponent would be a Pascal, Bracno, or a Henry type. Guys with a name but not well put together. Getting a fight with Tarver would be right up his alley if I was making decisions on his team. One good step forward is what he should be after., not a leap into misty waters. JMO...

Cloud connected with a left hook in the 8th that made Woods' knees buckle.  I really thought Cloud was going to get him out of there then.  Woods showed a great chin.

Good main event too.  Urango looked to be in pretty bad shape when he went down.  His eyes rolled up into his head and I thought he was in serious trouble.  Tough guy.  His body attack wore Bailey down and by the end of the fight, Bailey was stumbling around the ring in a sloppy mess.  Good win for Urango.  If Juan Diaz is done at 135 (which I'm not sure he is), how about him and Urango at 140.  I think that would be a great fight.  Urango is a belt holder and he didn't embarass himself last time he was on HBO (fighting out of his weight class).

Wow Mcnulty  I saw the same thing, one time he tried to touch gloves and Cloud didn't even acknowledge it.

Second Woods went to touch gloves and while he was attempting to touch gloves Cloud actually swung at him. I thought it was me just being picky and over analyzing it.

I waited until the end to see if Cloud would give Woods his due credit, his SORT of did, but didn't acknowledge WOODS as he should of.

I also realized cloud didn't shed a TEAR and was pretty emotionless after winning the biggest fight of his life, most fighters cry when winning a belt and biggest fight of their life.

He rambled on about "How they can't keep us down" He was slurring his speech was hard to understand what he was saying.

He did call out Dawson, pretty much nailed Dawson down fighting (Tarver twice). What Cloud needs to realize is, if Dawson loses to Glen Johnson, he will be facing the same men he said were past their prime. I believe he said stop fighting people who are 40 years old.

He needs to realize, Tarver is YOUNG for his age, due to the fact that he was out of boxing for a while, and never been "hurt".

Woods has MORE age on HIM than Tarver. Woods has been in with the best and many brawls and has taken many hits. Woods I believe is 37, so calling people out for fighting old fighters.. he's no better.

I believe the lack of sportsman ship is ruthless, you can be a dick outside the ring "The Bad GUY", but once you enter that ring there are rules and he ignored those rules and showed that he has a chip on his shoulder.

I wonder if that pertains to him quitting boxing for a while after the Olympics. I know he comes from a bad upbringing but so have many boxers, he should be thankful boxing saved his life and many others.

I would like to see him fight Pascal, but doubt that would happen. He trashed Dawson for fighting Tarver.. would be funny if he fought Tarver and ate his own words!

Good eye pointing that out, thought I was just nit picking, something to keep an eye out on.

What rule did Cloud break? You aren't obligated to touch the other guys gloves. Sure it's good sportsmanship but you are supposed to protect yourself at all times.

He didn't break any rules, I'm not sure if you saw the fight.

It wasn't so clear-cut by us saying "touching gloves".

This wasn't after the round ended and guys touch gloves, this was different, watching it in real time you say to yourself.. man this guy Cloud is a real Dick... he lacks more than sportsmanship, he has a severe chip on his shoulder and it shows.

No emotion, winning the biggest fight of his life, and a belt.

No one ever answered my question of why he QUIT boxing, if life was so rough, being poor.. and a tough neighborhood BOXING is always a SAVIOR for many fighters.
