I mean I agree that Cotto has some value as a live dog that pays almost 3-1, however, I've noticed that in boxing, the favorite usually wins. Haven't seen a great upset in boxing in a long time. You guys thought about it? I mean Pacquaio has been favored in all fights, he wins all of them. Mayweather has been favored in all fights, he wins all of them. Klitchko always wins too. The only dog I've seen win is Evander a few years back. Usually the oddsmakers are right on boxing, but it probably is the easiest sport to fix. With the paydays these guys get though, it probably isn't worth it.

There is a reason that Manny is -320, because he is strongly predicted to win.  You guys that bet $ on the underdog just look at the payback. +260/220 is definitely a nice payback, but it's like trying to hit the lottery or a 6 team parlay.  It's a very little chance to win.

I wouldn't go that far donny. A 6 team parlay is like 47 to 1, this is only 2 to 1. This is the equivalent of a +4.5 dog winning outright.

As we speak, I'm checking the Bodog line and see Manny at -220 now, and Cotto at +190 only. Looks like some money coming in on the latino.

slamspurs : Naturally the favorite wins, that's why they are favorites-lol. But betting underdogs in Boxing is where the money is at. You only get a few good fights a year, but even if you win just half you should be way ahead. October 18th, 2008 - Bernard Hopkins was a minimum 4-1 underdog against Kelly Pavlik. I had Hopkins at +800 to win by Decision on 5Dimes.

Cotto might do it but it can't be a great great bet as I see a gift decision for Pacman as a very likely scenario.

The best thing that could happen for Cotto's career here is that he loses a controversial decision.

Then, he can push for a rematch for another huge payday.


I certainly don't see Pacman stopping Cotto.

The real odds on a 6 team parlay are 63-1. Many sportsbooks pay 40-1 or special bonus odds at 50-1.

So if this goes to the judges, who thinks Cotto gets treat fairly?

I think it is likely not so.

Cotto was pressured to put up his 147lb belt for a 145lb fight.

Everyone WANTS the belt to change hands and to see history unfold as the little guy does it in seven divisions.

The judges know what is supposed to happen.

You need to chill out.  Seriously.  Who cares if he liked Cotto, so what?  Leave it alone.  It appears you didnt exactly make out on this fight either, saying to bet Pac on pts, and Cotto KO.

Any bet against Manny Pacquaio on anyone other than Mayweather is a dumb bet.  He's the only guy on the planet who can come close to beating Pac right now at 140-147.

WHY do you feel the need to rip into someone who gives a wrong pick?  WHY do you care?  WHO are you to tell someone to never post again?  Who made you board police? I've never seen a grown man show as little humility as you, especially when you only hit on 1 of the 3 bets you recommended for a fight.  I have no idea why you consider yourself to be some spectacle of neverending boxing wisdom.  You're just another guy.  If you're here to act like a jacka$$ and make enemies, you're doing a great job.

I come to this board for entertainment, that's all it is.  I dont ever let anyone sway me on a boxing bet b/c there are very few people who actually know more than me, and none of them will be found on this site, that's for certain.

god your an idiot, a true idiot. I posted my bets with star rating (1-5) like I do with all my picks. I gave the over 9.5  rounds a 4 star bet. That means I will be playing large on that outcome. 4 or 5 star bets mean I am very confident and I ant my supporters to pound it. I gave the pacman points a 2 star bet. If you read my thread carefully which you clearly don't I used the term small saver on this outcome, meaning I like it BUT not nearly as much as the over. I was what? 90 seconds from hitting that too? I then said another small saver and 1 star bet Cotto KO. 1 star means I am not that confident at all.

Secondly, I got annoyed because Waves joined this forum just before the fight and said pound Cotto 260 with no reasons behind it. Soem people may have followed this. I put the guy down before the fight, told people to i9gnore him and bet the over.

What happened? The over it, Rgazaz whether you like it or not I am one of the best cappers on this site and I have a following. If I see someone trying to convince the forum users to make a bad play I will intervene. There should be no place on this forum for people joining before big fights, making crappy predictions with no thought or analysis and then never to be seen again.

Please read my threads carefully before putting me down again. Uour coming across like a jealous 6 year old.

Yeah we're all idiots.  Dude, I have not lost a boxing bet in about 2 months.  I'm not jealous of you whatsoever.  I only get on you because you act like a child.

For the record, you were BALLS LUCKY to even hit that over 9.5.  That fight could've been stopped about 6 times and if Manny hadnt shown such mercy, you wouldnt even have won that wager.  Consider yourself 'lucky' on that one, not 'good'.
