JMM and Manny Pac are the worse 1 and 2 pound for pound boxers in my lifetime. Too much credit is given to Manny pac and JMM. Jmm beat a very faded and lucky ring tiltlist in Casamoyer, after his lucky beating of Mike K and his robbery of Santa Cruz. ****Also the judge cards were very very close still and i had it close as well******** Out of all the titlest at the time Campbell, Diaz, Casamoyer, and D. Diaz, both chose to fight the route of facing the weaker two for a reason. Give them both a challenging title fight that both would be favored to win. Diaz throws many punches and his agressive style will be conflicting with Marquez.
The truth in all of this is that Nate Campbell turned his carrer into a high note. His power is underated as well as his grit, defense and determination. Top that with the fact I thought the Baby bull looked pudgy, led to his loss. Campbells body punching abililty is underrated as well.
JMM has not one A graded win in my opinion even though I thought he beat PAC-Man both times which would have gave him 2 A grade wins. Barrera was faded at best. He lost to a overprotected Chris John and Juarez will never be an elite talent.

The winner of this fight will be the one who is able to control the distance. An inside fight favors Diaz=== outside it's JMM. If Diaz can use his jab and pressure JMM to fight against the ropes he has a clear edge. Diaz is more of a one dimensional fighter who relies on volume punching and pressure, pressure & more pressure. He tries to break his opponent down by being the much busier man inside the ring. The veteran Marquez has been in with some of the best pressure boxers in his career (MAB, Pacman) so it will not be something he hasn't seen before. I think the slight mental edge belongs to Diaz because he has much more to prove in this bout. After being totally outclassed by Campbell he will be balls out to win this fight. The home crowd will also be a big plus for him. Still, I have to admit that Marquez throws the much shorter, straighter combination punches, which usually brings victory against the style that Diaz brings to the table. The counter-punching skills also favor Marquez. The odds of 7-5 JMM seem just about right. So, I really think this one could go either way because Diaz should fight for his life in this one. I know a cop-out, but the way I feel. I will watch it and hope for the exciting fight that I suspect we will all see. Ok... $50 on a DRAW taking huge odds. GLTU! & lets keep it civil as we have some excellent boxing handicappers in this forum.

The winner of this fight will be the one who is able to control the distance. An inside fight favors Diaz=== outside it's JMM. If Diaz can use his jab and pressure JMM to fight against the ropes he has a clear edge. If, on the hand JMM can avoid the pressure using his own jab to control the distance== It's a whole other fight. No he's not the same caliber of pure athlete as Manny, and he doesn't have even remotely similar one shot power, but he is absolutely relentless, and where Manny can be made to take a backward step, Diaz's pressure doesn't stop for a second. And the fight is in Diaz's backyard.

I personally made my statement of what I think of Diaz and Marquez. When I post it's NOT to crap on someone's pick, it's my HONEST feeling on a fighter. I don't wager anymore, so maybe the people who DO it may rub them the wrong way. I have no axe to grind, some fights I feel very intense on, this is one of them. It has NO bearing on your pick or why you picked it. I think we are both smart enough to know with sports and betting, when that bell rings everything goes out the window and boxing is no different. This is my true feeling of the fight, is JMM the best no, I just believe his style beats Diaz's very easily. Some guys aren't made for one another. Styles make fights.
