I have always loved his boxing, but his big mouth is annoying.

in his late years maybe- but do remember he was a great boxer in his prime and still can contend with most heavyweights today. Toney is still a tough boxer

Dude get the hell out of this forum as it's easy to see that you're a dumbass who knows nothing about boxing and/or how it relates to MMA and streetfighting.
Yea Fat Toney "the boxer" looked like crap but in the main event Frankie Edgar "the wrestler" put on a beautiful display of "boxing footwork". There's only certain elements of boxing that translate well into MMA. Mainly footwork and long-range punches. Toney was known for fighting in close and throwing short counters. That "shoulder roll style" doesn't translate well against somebody who wants to tackle you.
Plus Toney was old, fat, and slightly brain damaged so his reflexes weren't top notch. Dana White knew all this and that's why Toney got paid so much. It's the equivalent of an up-and-coming boxing propect taking on an old faded legend fighting outside of his best weight class. "THE NAME" looks good on the prospect's record as UFC looks good when a former GREAT boxer easily loses in the UFC.
Why was kermit Cintron not allowed in the UFC? Dana White knew there was a chance of him making UFC look bad and his "name" wasn't recognizable to the mainstream fan. During the promotion of the Toney/Couture fight White acted as if it was a 50/50 chance saying "Toney has a very real chance" and other promoter "bullshit", but we all know his goal was to make boxing look bad and the UFC look good. Period.
