I was referring to Bradley vs Mayweather as a joke.
You stated the media was on him about him ducking " tszyu, hatton, de la hoya, mosley, stevie johnston" and won't ever stop. Mosley was the MAN after beating Oscar in their first fight by SD. Everyone wanted to fight Mosley now. After Forrest (RIP) beat Mosley decisively back to back, Mosley needed the spotlight somehow. He fought Oscar again in another close battle but this time he won UD. His very next fight was Winky Wright, and Winky dominated Mosley to win a UD. Again like Vernon did, Winky beat Mosley in the rematch by MD.
As far as I remember, before HBO 24/7's pilot on Oscar vs Floyd, the public could have cared less who Floyd fought. After seeing a very talented but very out-spoken super egoistical athlete, the public was hooked (Golden Boy Promotions built the Love or Hate Him Fighter) on Floyd no matter which way they felt. Either they watch hoping to see him lose, or watch because they are fans and like him, or lastly they are boxing aficionados and appreciate great fighters as an art form. Now "Money" Mayweather was the bad boy of the boxing world. Floyd had become the man to beat (or just fight and get a big payday). After Oscar, he knocked out Hatton and retired, planning to work on his promotional business. He was trying to get big mainstream, by going outside of boxing avenues and did the WWE thing like others have done. After a nearly two year layoff, he returned and now here we are.
Floyd was the perfect guy to kick-off 24/7 with, as boxing used a WWE style format to promote a month ahead and give weekly fresh insight into the life and training camps of each fighter. People bought into the Ortiz on 24/7 and Floyd cashed in. What did people expect Ortiz to say, "I have a little chance to beat Floyd but I'll try my best"... "even though I quit against Maidana!"
Where did all the Covers members that posted "Floyd has only fought small or old fighters, never a young hungry talented fighter like Ortiz... so you guys wait and see!"??? I remember all the VALUE BETTORS with Ortiz +500 (like I said before, even at Buster Douglas odds of 42-1 I'd never bet it because odds become irrelevant when a fighter can't win without some type of freak accident).

I'm sick of the drug thing. Try getting Floyd to fight in other states besides Nevada. The only one using is Mayweather and he uses Xylocaine for his fists. For those not familiar, it is a numbing agent, and illegal in other states but legal in Nevada!

Floyd wont fight in other 49 states that band that substance because he has a brittle hands. Talk about accusing someone using drugs sometimes people forget to look on the mirror.

Eric_Teaman: Floyd many years ago a several divisions lighter he fought outside Nevada. It seems that as he gained weight and strength it became more of a problem. It would make sense, because the bigger your are and the harder you hit, it will have a greater impact on your bones.
I had a similar problem in my forearms. Also, even though we can be assured Floyd is using such a drug, it also stands to reason he will throw with more caution as not to inflict damage on his hands. I think this has been maybe one the top reasons he has not fought Manny. We all know Floyd is better boxer and can anticipate movements, but regardless Manny will keep pressure contstantly, and Floyd will have to respond with more than a pop shot, or even a 1-2.
Don't think this fact has not slipped Floyd's mind and he know he will have to open up and often against Manny (Manny is quick, and extremely dangerous inside with the short compact punches at all angles that even Floyd the Master can't dodge them without retaliation) leaving Floyd in question about how his hand will hold up. Certainly is they are numb it can be more detrimental as you don't realize the damage to your hands. This is another factor why Floyd has been cashing in against other opponents, just incase he damages his hands severely against Manny causing him permanent retirement.
Just a food for thought! It's been on my mind for years, and I figured now was the proper thread and time to express some thoughts. Any other people have some similar or even opposite feeling regarding this.
Lately I've noticed this forum has become much better and arguments have become constructive and less childish. I hope it continues!

all pacquiao does is fight guys on the way down....mayweather actually takes on opponents after impressive wins.  After mosley destroyed margarito he begged pacquiao to fight but him and him trainer said no way !  mosley was even willing to do it at 144 pounds. Mayweather stepped up to the plate and took care of him.  Then after mayweather already beat him and he had an ugly draw against mora pacquiao fights him 2 years later.....and he gets credit from the dumb media and dumb bandwagon public/ mayweather haters.

Dont you wounder why pacquiao didnt fight marg before he got beat by mosley?  cotto before he got beat by marg?  mosley before he got beat by floyd?  hatton before he got beat by floyd? clottey before he lost to cotto? delahoya before he lost to floyd?

WHY HE DIDNT GIVE MARQUEZ A REMATCH SOONER? In all likelihood he lost both fights against Marquez but certainly lost the second one but got GIFT decision because bob arum had the judges in his pocket.  WHY DID IT TAKE SO LONG?
