2006 Results (March-July): +19.2 units (+$1,920)
2007 Results: +42.25 units (+$4,225) Two weeks ago: -.95 of a unit (-$95) 2008 to Date: +1.43 units (+$143)
Getting an early start to the week with a couple of plays. Still have the parlay pending from last week. Not many fights on the slate this week, should be slow till the first part of 2009.
1.55 units on Vidoz (-155) vs Skelton I view Vidoz as the more skilled of the two old men. Skelton's sloppy brawling style may have an effect on a lot of heavies out there, but Vidoz has a decent jab and has always been pretty technically sound because of his amateur background. Fight is in Italy which is a plus and if there is an Italian judge in place then a DQ win for Vidoz isn't out of the question; Skelton is a dirty fighter. May go larger on this if I see that Vidoz comes in at a really good weight.
.25 of a unit on Tolpolla (+1250) vs Branco Branco was a nice winning ticket earlier in the year over Lynes. Call this a shot in the dark for $25 as I think Tolpolla will keep this competitive. Here's hoping Branco gets old overnight.
.60 of a unit to win 2.66 Amar (+200) Vidoz (-155) Valuev (-1000)
.50 of a unit to win 3.6 Klitschko-Rahman under 6.5 (-135) Bundrage-Baysangurov under 8.5 (-270)' Hopkins-Holt over 11.5 (-170) Foreman-Moore over 9.5 (-320) Toney (-270) Garcia (-925) Valuev (-1150)

Yeah, if Holy were to pull this one off it would be one for the ages that's for sure.
Late night tonight. I wouldn't say fancy a ton, but I did go ahead and play him straight also. I just think that Watson is overrated. It's partly a play against him. I bet him against Nuumbembe as a dog and got a bit lucky at the massive cut that Nuumbembe sustained was the reason for his ultimate demise. Then he goes and get stopped by Petrucci and looked good in beating Matty Hatton, but what really does that mean? I guess that makes him better then Tackie. From what I have see of Amar on the web he looks awfully big for a welterweight (he has fought much higher). I think he is a bit quicker then Watson, but he is wild at times in the ring and this could feed into the more orthodox fighter in Watson. Amar is a Brendan Ingle protege which can be a good thing or bad thing with the unorthodox style he teaches. I just think it's worth a smallish-medium stab on two fighters who i think are on the same level where one has the experience edge and the other is the bigger guy who knows this is his chance to step up.
1 unit on Amar (+200)

Thanks for the heads up, I didn't know anything about it. I can't believe this is happening in Greenville. I'm going to have to clear the schedule. Hope it happens, it's not listed on boxrec yet though.

LOL, woke up to let the dog out to take a deuce and wasn't able to go back to sleep after I got him back in. Usually he doesn't have to do the business in the middle of the night.
Same can be said of you my man, you just a night owl?

Check the Decatur Boxing Club website. . . Also, it was supposed to have been Nov 21, but moved to Jan 10th for some reason - just in case you see that date somewhere while googling it
I'm going to go, but I'm flying back from Miami and landing an hour before it starts, so I'll certainly be cutting it close

They're also doing something Jan 22nd in Charlotte, but I believe that is a black tie affair. Not sure about this one though. I've got a buddy that works at the Hyatt, so he's going to try to find out more info and get tix for me. Let you know if I hear anything.

Yeah, I think it's a good play, but we will just have to see. I added to win a hundo more at -165.
Thanks, for the link. Wish I could watch, but I'm at work. Had to jump on my laptop from a restaurant nearby during lunch to see if there was any new fight news. Covers is a no no at work and is blocked.
