Well, sounds like it was a weird day from Italy and I was hurt by both of the strange endings.  WTF was up with Vidoz Ghost.  Awesome highlights of past Solo Boxeo's tonight.

Put some more on the main event....

Ghost:  Just to revisit this afternoon since I wasn't watching, I just wanted to see if you could clear a couple of things up and relive the losses in more detail, lol.

So Toppola was clearly beating Branco?  How did the TKO come since you said it was bogus?  Did the ref jump in early?

Was Vidoz ahead on the cards?  I read a thread on ESB that said it was a close fight and he was actually coming on in the 8th then just quit fighting?  Was he injured?

TIA.  There just wasn't anything on fightnews about the card.

Man Huerta has some whiskers, Alvarado just gave him a beat down in the 2nd.

Not a good dish of afternoon lasagna.  Alverado is laying the lumberr, just need Huerta to break.  Is it me or does Alverado look huge compared to Huerta.  His uppercut is sick.

LOL, immediately after I hit submit Alvarado starts going on a rampage with Huerta on the ropes and gets the stoppage.  Did Alvarado look great tonight or what?  They have developed him nicely and it's obvious he has quite a local fan base.  Offensively he is already a force to be reckoned with.  I'd like to see him ice Kendall Holt.

WOOOOO!!!!!!!!

Here's what happened in Intaly Brights

I had Toppola up 5 to 3 and he was winning the 9th
Branco held and hit on the break, and the illegal punches he threw caused a small welt on Toppola's eye

the doctor (an Italian doctor of course) stopped the fight....Toppola begged and pleaded to continue....poor kid got robbed....bogus TKO for Branco rnd 9

Vidoz fight was sloppy and close....Vidoz was indeed coming on....I had him up a point going into 9....midway through the 9th he starts huffing and puffing....he literally turns his back with seconds left in the round....Skelton looks at the ref like "WTF"....

Vidoz goes to his corner....they tell him he is winning....they beg him to continue...they force the mouthpiece in his mouth....he spits it out and quits....BOOOOOO Vidoz !!!!!!!!

That helped erase the taste of the bad Italian dish a bit.  Man I hate to see Solo Boxeo end, there have been so many great action fights in the series.  Awesome performance by Alvarado.

  Well done FB, well done.  Still can't believe Bodog had this under at plus money!  What a display from Alvarado.  Great end to what's been a spectacular series from Solo Boxeo.

Thanks for the recap bud, I watch a lot of fights, but I think you may have me beat with these streams you pick up during the day.  Strange happenings are the norm in Italy and today was no different.  I guess I shouldn't complain since some would say Branco didn't beat Lynes and that treated me nicely, but that would have been a sweet return off $25 on Toppola.  So it sounds to me like that welt really wasn't that bad and to top it off it came courtesy of illegal blow.

I don't understand the Vidoz thing at all, the only reason I placed my second bet on him was because of the weight he came in at made me feel even better.  Definitely don't want be a conspiracy theorist, I can definitely accept a loss just fine, but is it possible the fix was in and Vidoz took a nice chunk of change to kick it in at some point?  The circumstances just seem so weird especially since he was coming on.  He has always been durable.  Was the ref on Skelton at all, he is usually pretty dirty.

I take it you were on the Alvarado under also.  Cheers my man.

A couple of more plays for me for tomorrow....

.40 of a unit on Nishio (+800) vs Kimura
Taking a small shot in the dark here as both of these guys appear to be on the same domestic Japanese level.  I'll go with the less experienced younger taller fighter to upset the odds.

2.4 units on Ishii (-120) vs Suico
The last time I saw Suico he was slow as molasses against the Baby Bull, of course a lot of people can look bad against him, but he looked really bad to me.  Everything I have read on Ishii is he is quick handed and has a solid chin, on his home turf I have to roll with this one as a medium size play.

The last big play of the year...
5 units on under 9.5 rounds (+200) in Karmazin-McKart
Seems like there has actually been some over action on this one as I saw it at +190 earlier, but I think that Karmazin will be much stronger at 160 and Mckart is a spent bullet who needs to hang them up.  Karmazin isn't necessarily a big puncher of banger, but he can get guys that are over matched out of there and has hurt a lot of opponents that he didn't stop.  I didn't see McKart's fight with Raul Marquez, but that last Ornelas fight showed me a lot at where he is right now at 37 years old.  Of course this also covers some lasting effects of the Bunema KO for Karmazin.  I think it's worthy of a large play and I'm willing to roll the dice to try and close out the year with a bang.  Went with the max at thegreek on it.

I think Karmazin has a good chance to get McKart out of there....good luck with the play !

I will have to check out those Japanese fights....may be worth a tickle....

I am also on Holy-Valuev over 9.5 and taking a shot on Bonsu

Nice job on the Alvarado under last night FB, I had it too but was surprised at how easy it came. Alvarado's uppercuts were incredible.

I'll tail you on the Karmazin under, I see your logic.

Italy may be the shadiest place to fight nowadays. Tough loss on the Fin, you deserved it.
