mark it down, I'm now 100% convinced Canelo will get the brakes beat off him.  +720, I'll be putting 5k on this @ Vegas.  See ya there.

Canelo is green but his power must be respected. Austin Trout never looked troubled vs Cotto yet he let a close fight vs Canelo slip away because he over-respected Canelo. Floyd had Cotto staggered in the 12th and didn't even try for the KO - why? It wasn't because his hand was broken (only slightly swollen), it was because Floyd is a safety-first fighter.
Unless a fighter is wreckless like Hatton, Floyd is gonna be content to just win a decision. Remember when Floyd fought Baldomir? Baldomir was slower than anyone Floyd had ever fought and Floyd never even tried for the KO. 
Canelo isn't wreckless, he has a decent jab and boxing IQ, and he hits hard as bricks. The fact that Floyd got touched up vs Cotto tells me he'll be even less willing to sit on the ropes vs a bigger man. Floy'ds gonna employ tons of lateral movement just like in the Guerrero fight and hit Canelo with potshots all night. 
Canelo has his flaws, but Mayweather is too much of a safety-first fighter to even TRY for the KO.

I wouldn't bet the ko period...if i bet any ko i'd bet canelo late....maybe his youth gives him a punchers chance late.

FLoyd has been going for the KO in all his recent fights.  Guerrero was very close to going.  Ortiz would have been stopped regardless.  COtto took a severe behind beating and was hurt multiple times in that fight.  Cotto is a better boxer puncher than Canelo.  He has more world class experience and he has better footspeed and footwork than Canelo.

Floyd is going to be extremely sharp.  We all know Floyd is a big time fighter who loves big fights.  Its in his DNA.  Two fights very close toghter he will be sharp and is reportedly in tremendous shape.  Interviews from his team they are in AWE in how good he's looking.  Canelo doesn't have the footspeed and footwork to catch up to Floyd so his size won't matter only if he tries to get reckless he might get caught.  He also has a low punch output and is very slow.  If he tries to be a boxer puncher and pick his spots he will see a big diffrence vs Floyd then Trout because Floyd footwork is top notch.  I see a ton of mistakes Canelo makes with his feet and this is what it comes down too.  Slow, low punch output, stamina issues, not a very good jab, I see a very bad ending for Canelo after round 6.

Canelo aint used to getting hit.  How's he going to react to getting hit with shots he's not used to getting hit with?  Mayweather going to put him in a dark place he's never been in.

you also picked Bradley over Pacquiao even though i told you Pac would give him a boxing lesson (which he did), but of course Pac got robbed in one of the biggest robberies in boxing history (according to most ringside observers and analysts).

and at some points mayweather did walk cotto down and hurt him.  cotto was tough that night I'll give him that.

also Pacquiao giving anyone a boxing lesson should never go toghteht.  pacquiao tried to fight in spurts but the judges didn't buy that.

Sorry to all those above who want Jersey to go! I RESPECT YOU ALL.

BUT, I vote to keep him on the island.  He does have some good knowledge of the sport, and I do respect his passion when conveying his message!  I guess im a somewhat "apathetic" covers member, because I choose to read and not post often, so I like guys like him around.  Look at the buzz he got out of you guys???

Jersey, I hope you keep posting on here, because i enjoy checking out everyone's posts in the boxing forum.  Keep em' coming guys...
