I agree. That loss to Prescott was crazy though. What would happen if he fought Maidana? Maidana is probably my favorite of the bunch. How the hell did he lose to Kotelnik?
Round 6: Khan is ahead on the scorecards but this is no push-over. Malignaggi is surprising him with the angles of his punches. A good left from Khan though, that's better. Malignaggi is untroubled but more good work from the champion, solid jabs and combinations. He is growing in stature. Another good left as there are signs of disturbances among the crowd. Security is stepping in as Khan lands some more stinging jabs. This is a good round for the champion. A lovely right now, Malignaggi for the first time is blowing. He tries to come forward with a left of his own but Khan glances it away. Good right from Khan after two Malignaggi jabs excite his corner. Another big right hook and Malignaggi never saw it coming. This is Khan's best round so far. Another combination lands, the champion is settling into his work. Khan's round - his best of the fight so far.
Round 10: Malignaggi told his corner to 'step on it' but it's Khan who is starting the brighter, more good jabs which just sting the challenger. A good right from Khan, it's been a telling shot for him. He has out-speeded Malignaggi too, which is no mean achievement. The right lands again, the challenger's corner are demanding he comes forward but what does he have left? Two more jabs rock his head backwards, he is frustrated and it's showing. Again the jab lands, Malignaggi is trying to dance now but still the punches from Khan find their target. The referee is looking at Malignaggi who is being picked off seemingly at will,

Round 11: The doctor cheks out the challenger, his corner check if he's OK to continue. He is but he's cut, marked and in trouble. Khan is waiting for him in the centre of the ring. Malignaggi has to plead with the doctor to continue - he's still there but what has he left? Wonderful straight left rocks the challenger, then another. The jab has been the key to Khan's success. Malignaggi can't get out of the way of it - or a crisp left-hook. It's over - the referee has stopped it. Malignaggi is battered, bruised and bemused. Khan wins on his American debut. Terrific performance.
