I am in no way trying to flame luckyluke but the theory that wlod was going to tank the fight did not make sense. he is 29, in his prime and a champion(albeit paper).
there is way more money for him to make if he were to win the fight than to lose it.
always follow the money.

i can also confirm this..luke is proabley telling the truth..... boxing is so rigged.......
Fixed it for you. Boxing is a scam in general. I don't bet it just for that reason.

i dont think you understood me. follow the money as in hoya/sturm and most recently paq/marquez.
there was very little credence to the thought that wlod would lay down because if you "follow the money" you will quickly realize that wlod will make far more money by winning the fight as opposed to losing it. green might not be a household name but he is a name fighter.
i saw absolutley no reason, other than one that would be mentally psychotic, for wlod deciding to throw the fight as a young champion in his prime, especially against a 38-year-old fighter stepping up in weight coming off a tko loss.
none.
wlod has a name, belt and future. and he would throw a fight against green for what? 200k?
he'll make that in his next fight and then some.
follow the money.

cotto won the first 5 out of 6 rounds against margo. perhaps if he "trained better" maybe it would it have been a cake walk for him as well. jt arguably won the first 5 out of 6 rounds against froch but maybe if he "trained better" he would have won too.
i am not trying to flame you here but the premise of your bet was that wlod was going in for a paycheck and was not going to fight(clottey/paq), something i did not believe in and pointed out on this very thread prior to the fight. when you realized that wlod came to fight you knew right then and there that the theory of your bet was flawed and you, therefore, lost whatever advantage/angle you had on the fight to justify your odds.
this is what handicappers refer to as a bad bet.
all i saw prior to this fight, other than wlod's debatable attempted suicide, was a career 38-year-old LHW fighter coming off a three and a half month KO loss going against a career 30-year-old CW champion whose only loss in the last nine years was a MD against formidable steve cunningham.
seriously, i am not trying to flame you and i appreciate everyone's input as i am just trying to find angles to win.
