Just by looking at JMM lately, he doesn’t seem to have undergone the human growth hormone program like Pacman did. His hulkification just won’t be the same. His head will not swell up like a balloon and his chin, which was never great, won’t get better. I can imagine Floyd just jabbing his way to a late TKO.
Hatton, an optimised roughhouser couldn’t make an impression on the inside so how can JMM? And on the outside, Floyd has looked unbeatable throughout his career. JMM is, I imagine, going to try for extended exchanges in the pocket, a rather dangerous position to maintain over 12 rounds with a much bigger man.
JMM had some extended exchanges with Barerra and took a lot of hits against someone with no special handspeed or power. If he gets hit like that by “Philthy Rich”, it will be lights out.
