Jermain Taylor -130? Are you serious?

Forget Willims vs Winky! This could be the fight to get your bankroll back up.

The undefeated Brit crosses the pond for the first time ( actually, he fought at some gay bar versus some scrub that he demolished ). But truly, does the stand a chance? Yes, I have watched some footage and yes, I know he has a chin, will come forward and get hit, and will test Taylor, but does this natural 168er stand a chance against the quicker and stronger Taylor? Taylor looked great in his first fight at 168 against a somewhat washed up Lacy, before getting demolished twice by the 160 champ and pound for pounder Kelly Pavlik.

With all the controversy going on over in the UK about lack of interest in TV coverage, do you guys think “The Cobra” is 100% focused? Sure they are saying the fight should get picked up last minute by UK TV, but still, what kind of motivation, or lack there of, does this have on “The Cobra” in the biggest fight of his life? In what will obviously be his biggest pay-day to date, this could be a simple case of a protected Brit “selling” his belt, later returning to UK to sell-out crowds against lesser opposition.

With a name like Taylor on his resume, win or lose, his stock will surely shoot through the roof. I just read that he is being put up on a “5 star resort and spa” in Canada to adjust to the US. Are you kidding me? The last thing this guy needs is to be treated like a Roy Jones, Floyd Mayweather, or a prime Tyson! There has been a lot of media saying he is way over his head and far as his ego goes, and that he may be taking Tyalor lightly.

I see Taylor using his jab to bloody the Brit to a pulp, later leading to a wide decision or possible late stoppage. Frosch won’t be running, and Taylor’s power has been proven in the past to faze opponents who stand and exchange. I think this price is WAY too generous, and will be making it a max play. Am I missing something simple here? Will the move up in weight for Taylor slow him down and weaker his punches?

Am I missing anything of major significance here?

yu can only beat whos in front of you. &#xD;&#xA;taylor is a natural middleweight. pavlik punched fck out of him. &#xD;&#xA;froch can punch dont worry but he has beaten pretty much only bums. taylor will be in a fight here, he will get hit and hit often and i think he might go down here. i wouldnt bet taylor with hitlers money

froch is a very good body puncher and a combination of that and the fact that taylor seems to fade down the stretch of every fight could be a recipe for an upset. I do like taylor here as I think he is just a much better boxer and will be much faster against a guy in Froch who doesn&#x27;t have great speed but this will be a close fight imo.

Froch has the edge here, I think.&#xD;&#xA;He has just beaten Jean Pascal, who has great similarity to Taylor.&#xD;&#xA;I know Froch is slow, but he somehow works around it.

Froch is the bet of the year. Its clowns like EricLinny who gives bookies their money and then the bookies give it back to me. Froch to win by 3-4 rounds pulling away..he is the the real deal, trust me. I have never in my life seen a more overrated fighter then Taylor. He was badly beaten by Kelly Pavlik who was shown for what he was against B-HOP. Froch hasn&#x27;t beaten anyone but he will. Only Kessler is better then Froch in this division. I was Big on Paul Williams, but this in my OPINION one of the biggest give away lines in recent memory! People forget Jermaine was destroying Pavlik in the first fight, until he ran out of gas,actually in the second round he dropped Pavlik and went for the KO and once Pavlik fought it off, Jermaine was doomed cannot blame him going for the finish.This is Jermaine&#x27;s easiest fight, styles make fights, and Froch  doesn&#x27;t match up with Jermaine in any category.Speed, Jab, athleticism,counter punching and does have power he tends NOT to go for the kill he relies on 1-2 1-2-3  combos and that is Froch&#x27;s  downfall as Froch needs someone to engage with and Jermaine WON&#x27;T.People think you can force your will on someone, well you need a good jab to get in, Froch slaps his jab and holds it very low. [/Quote]Jermaine was destroying Pavlik in the first fight, for 7 rounds it Pavlik looked horrific, Taylor faded in that fight because he dropped Pavlik in the second and went for the finish. Taylor did the wrong thing as Pavlik got caught sticking his tongue out it wasn&#x27;t a devastating punch that Jermaine thought it was.Seven rounds Jermaine made him look like a 12 year old, when fatigue caught up with him then Pavlik  took over. Nuttyrich unlike you I know my boxing. Right now American boxers have no real stars (gone are DelaHoya/Hopkins/Mayweather and nearly Sugar Shane. Paul Williams maybe could be a star but more to prove) that you overhype the boxers you do have (Pavlik/Taylor/Berto). I can&#x27;t believe we actually have to debate Pavlik-Taylor again. That one has been over for a long time, and Jermain was way second best. If you really think Taylor was carrying every round before Pavlik put him to sleep, you are wrong. Even if that were the case, how do you explain Taylor losing a wide points decision in the rematch? Where was his boxing clinic in that fight? Maybe he wasn&#x27;t motivated the second time around because Kelly&#x27;s title wasn&#x27;t on the line.I really don&#x27;t mind if you put your cash down on a loser like JT, but you have no business trying to sway others with flat lies.
