mayweather - JJM (possible value??)

Hey nc, I'll be in Vegas that weekend too.  What a great week to be there.  Football, baseball, ufc 103 wagering and the Mayweather bout.  We should make some green that weekend for sure.  I can't wait.  Where are you staying?

Enjoy your visit. I always hate large chalk.. usually sends most bettors in the "props zone".

This particular fight one needs to lay the chalk, or maybe use an online site like 5dimes to parlay the fight so the odds aren't so steep.

Even if you parlay it online, you can still watch in Vegas and root.. (at least you will be betting the way you want).

So many good fights coming up, add football and basketball the mix.. it will be amazing.

I like the Over. Floyd will be rusty and it'll be enough for Marquez to survive 12. 

Actually....Floyd said he's getting homeboy out of there on the 24/7. If Floyd is taking the Under...maybe the Over ain't such a good idea.

Floyd has been in the gym for his entire "retirement" period, so I wouldn't be too worried about ring rust. Marquez has taken this fight, in my view, because it is a career high pay day, and he seemingly has very little to lose. No one can really fault him for losing to Floyd at this weight, but he has absolutely no business fighting above 135 pounds. If they were here as anything more than an opponent with a big name, Marquez's people would have negotiated for a contract weight of 140 at most. Marquez is going to be slow, puffy, and hittable with those extra pounds. If Juan Diaz can rock him at lightweight (that fight was life and death for Marquez before the cut), how can anyone not rationally expect Floyd to take his head off?

I said this a while ago, Marquez is best at 130.

He was bullied by a light punching Juan Diaz at 135.

Marquez is a warrior, I see more of a TKO than a KO, Marquez cuts easily, and is very hittable, his chin isn't the sturdiest that I've seen.

Although many of his knock downs were flash knock downs as it happened during a heated exchange.

When he gets pounded by a guy at 147, those won't be flash knock downs.

Marquez was already slowing down, the extra weight will do nothing but slow him down even more.

Regardless if anyone deserves a PPV Payday for his work, it's Marquez, biggest payday of his life and he can retire off of this paycheck.

Floyd by KO/TKO. +175 :)

Well my pick is Floyd +175 by KO/TKO.

People see that line and say yeah +175 because it won't happen. Floyd has been out of the ring for 2 years, Marquez is a WARRIOR.

WARRIOR is exactly why Marquez will be stopped. Marquez is a tough Mexican warrior who when hits likes to RETURN fire, cannot return fire when the opponent isn't there.

As seen in his past 3-4 fights, Marquez is VERY hittable, and his age is showing. Marquez  never had a "great chin", not suspect but definitely NOT great.

Remember Pac-man had him down 3 times in the first fight. I believe once again in the second fight. That was at 130.

Juan Diaz who was outclassed badly by Paulie, showed us Marquez cannot carry the weight.

He was already slower, and wasn't dominate like he was at 130, was actually shocking to see a squatty little Juan Diaz just push him across the ring.

Juan Diaz isn't the BEST boxer, and by far a VERY weak PUNCHER.

Juan Diaz is all about pressure and at 135 Marquez was buckled wobbled and it made for a great fight because Marquez had to overcome being the "Smaller guy" using his technical boxing skills.

At this weight, and his age, Marquez doesn't have a chance.

If you don't like Floyd by TKO/KO at +175

The over and under is a tough one, I do like Floyd to take him outbut then again he's been away for 2 years and might take a few rounds to get the rust away... so it's makes that 9.5 very iffy.

I'd rather live and die by the sword, which is take one pick and stick with it.. Floyd by TKO/KO.. you have 11 rounds and 2:59 to get it done.

With +175 you don't need to lay much to win...

Watch Marquez versus Diaz, and see what I mean, remember this was his FIRST fight at 135 against a relatively weak puncher... and not a strong guy.

Watch how Diaz bullied him and pushed him around the ring. Remember JUAN DIAZ and 135- This is FLOYD two weight classes higher.

Don't be fooled by the ending where Marquez Knocked him out, LOOK closely at the fight and how Marquez's skills have deteriorated quite a bit, it's why Juan Diaz looked so good.

Don't be afraid because he's Mexican and a legend, he's at the end of his career and well finally collecting a PAYDAY he DESERVES.

Remember boxing is a career for these men, it's their WORK.

I cannot give advice on the Ov/Under with this fight, my pick is +175 Floyd tko/ko, only thing I can say is look for a prop that says "Won't go the distance".  Still will be a better odd than the over/under.

My thoughts exactly. This fight reminds me of one thing - when Floyd almost (many think he did) lose to Jose Luis Castillo at 135 pounds in 2002. Pressure seems to be the only way to crack Floyd - possibly throwing caution to the wind. JMM might will do exactly that.

Also, this fight is probably going to the cards. GBP (and DLH) will be looking to take some of the shine off of Floyd. If Floyd is rusty and there are some close rounds... this could get VERY, VERY interesting. I'll probably be on JMM points handicap if I can get decent number. We'll see.....
