If the guy is still punching back, and he's not defenseless, I don't think you should stop it. That being said, I agree that it wouldn't have mattered. Salido was crushing in that fight.

I knew this would be a tough match-up for Lopez because of his tendency to want to brawl. It is extremely hard to KO Salido. Out point him yes but KO not likely. What is the point of boxing in such a huge ring if your going to trade right from the 1st bell...Very stupid game plan & by the 3rd rd, it did not take a rocket scientist to predict the eventual outcome.

i love how 2 refs had the fight at draw and one had Lopez ahead 2 rounds. If it was not for the stoppage we would of witnessed some bullshit again. Great win for Salido.
I always figured that Gamboa would of done the same thing to Lopez if they squared up

The fact of the matter is that Lopez has ZERO defense. The guys head is wide open for punches all day long. And hes a very slow puncher. All he has is punching power with some heart but thats about it. It was only a matter of time before someone was gonna KO him. But on a side note right from the start of the fight he really looked like he didn't have any desire to win.

Sorry guys late to the party lol. Red must have Direct TV like me because I lost reception for A FEW ROUNDS of the Ortiz fight.
Nothing like getting a "searching for satellite signal during a good fight"!
Berto I was never big on after seeing him get exposed by Collazo a while back I knew he didn't have it.
Then fighting a 1 round fight his previous fight, he's always had stamina issues he needed more rounds.
He was staring at the clock as if he had a plane to catch, his legs were gone from the first round.
Now onto Salido, why would Lopez want a rematch with him? There is NOTHING Lopez can do differently than maybe land a lucky punch.
Salido has the style to beat him every time, strong puncher and amazing chin.
If I'm Salido I take this rematch asap, Lopez got exposed badly his corner and showtime can make excuses saying he was distracted, but JUAN Ma's weak chin and horrific defense will NEVER change.
Both of these fights I believe will be a rematch, Berto-Ortiz because I believe it was a great fight and can make for a good second match,
Salido/Lopez well it will be made because Lopez has enough pull to get a rematch, I believe we know in our hearts Lopez cannot adjust he's just a puncher.
Congrats to everyone who cashed in, didn't have computer access for a few days so just getting to post now!
Congrats and let's have more fights like that!
