Prediction:
Barrera to win by Decision
I admit I'm no expert when it comes to boxing but I have been decent with my predictions on bigfights.
These are the variables why to fade Pacquiao on this match:
> This is the first time Manny trained in the Philippines for a bigfight.. He even workout in Wildcard Gym when he faced Larios. This only shows that he's taking Barrera lightly, he cannot or must not underestimate a "heart of a champion" in Barrera. Or else, he will be kissing the canvas early.
> Greener Pasture. Yes, money talks on this fight. Enumerated as follows:
1.) Pacman sold the rights to telecast from ABS-CBN to GMA for a higher price.
2.) He just recently lost the elections and must get back his investments. The only source-of-income of Manny is from Boxing.
3.) If he losses, a third match will be arranged. Another paycheck (estimated around $3M each) for the bout will be issued.
4.) Odds in Vegas favoring Pacquiao is in an all-time high.
I've seen it with Holyfield and seen in with Tyson before.. Pacquiao can come up to the ring Saturday night (Sunday morning Manila Time) and have his hands tied around his waist. Just like how Brian Viloria showcased in a title bout.
> Golden Boy, the promoter of Barrera publicly said Pacquiao is better than his boxer.. This will give Marco a much needed urge to prove otherwise and that his boxing career is not finished.
> Revenge factor also for Barrera.. Not for himself but also for his country.
Ofcourse, we will not witness Pacquiao being TKOed or KOed on this match.. These boxers have pride and will accept defeat standing up.
This fight will go to the scorecards and expect Pacman to complain that he was cheated in the scores.. But obviously Barrera outfought him the whole bout.
Or maybe expect a lame excuse from Manny of having a flu or whatever before and during the fight..
Barrera, over 10.5 rounds.. 1 unit each.
